Dr. Dikshita Kadam has been associated with the Department of Rehabilitation in the Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
She has completed her specialisation in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, graduating as a university topper.
Her role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalised care plans and monitor patient progress. She has independently managed cardiac rehabilitation centres, offering specialised care in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. She is also actively involved in post-surgical rehabilitation for complex surgeries, organ transplant surgery and rehabilitation of patients on mechanical circulatory supportive devices as well as paediatric and neonatal ICU rehabilitation
Her expertise lies in designing individualised accelerated rehabilitation programmes to improve the strength and endurance of critically ill patients. She strongly advocates for early mobilisation in acute care settings, significantly contributing to the success of comprehensive care approaches.
A member of the Indian Association of Physical Therapy and Maharashtra State OT/PT Council, she has several published articles in national journals and is actively engaged in research work.
