The Tower

Comprehensive Critical Care:

  • Management of extreme prematurity (infants born <28 weeks).
  • Advanced respiratory support, including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), inhaled nitric oxide therapy, and ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation).
  • Treatment for severe congenital anomalies, neonatal sepsis, and metabolic disorders.

Surgical Expertise:

  • On-site paediatric surgeons and neonatologists collaborate to manage complex neonatal surgeries (e.g., congenital heart defects, abdominal emergencies, neural tube defects).
  • Immediate access to operating rooms within the neonatal unit for time-sensitive interventions.

  • State-of-the-art incubators, advanced monitoring systems, and telemetry for continuous vital sign tracking.
  • Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling therapy) for infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

  • Senior neonatologists, neonatal nurses, early intervention therapists, and parenteral nutrition.
  • Collaboration with paediatric subspecialists (cardiology, neurology, genetics, etc.) for holistic care.

The Tower

The period leading up to, during, and following birth is vital for your newborn’s health, especially if they are born prematurely or have a very low birth weight. The Department of Neonatology provides:

  • Ventilatory therapy – non-invasive and advanced invasive modes
  • Therapeutic hypothermia
  • Medical management for congenital heart diseases
  • Intravenous nutrition

  • Care for extremely premature and low birth weight babies
