Dr. Jyoti is a Lactation Counselor in the Department of Paediatrics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. Dr. Shinde completed her Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics at the All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Mumbai in 1996 and became a certified Mother Support Counselor recognized by the Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) in Maharashtra in 2003. She successfully completed her International Board Lactation Consultant Exam (IBLCE) in 2009, became a certified Infant and Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) Level 1 Trainer in 2006, and has served as a Lead Trainer since 2008. She has been a Certified Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) Assessor since 2009. She received her Doctorate in Food and Nutrition with a specialization in Lactation Management from the Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education in 2016. Dr. Shinde has worked as a lactation counselor at several prestigious hospitals, accumulating over 5000 hours of experience. She has also worked as a Program Manager at BPNI in Maharashtra and was the coordinator for the ‘Hirkani IYCN Initiative’ across six districts for the Government of Maharashtra. Additionally, Dr. Shinde served as an editorial assistant for the second edition of the Level 1 IYCN English Module for UNICEF Maharashtra and participated in live IYCN TV and Radio.
