**In the Comprehensive Health Package, a patient can replace CT Cardiac Angiography with a combination of Magnetic Resonance Imaging [MRI] (single organ) and Calcium Scoring with no change in pricing.

**CT Calcium Scoring is not indicated for patients who have undergone Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery and Coronary Angioplasty.

Booking an Appointment

  • We recommend you book an appointment before your health Check-up. To book your appointment, kindly call 1-800-221-166. For any queries, you may send an email to ehc@rfhospital.org
  • We operate between 8 am and 6 pm every day, except on Sundays and public holidays.
  • The Health Check-up department is on 2nd floor of the Tower building. Please be present there at the appointed time.
  • We kindly request you to be punctual so that all the tests can be completed without delay.
  • Patients reporting an hour or more later than the designated time may face delays/rescheduling of the appointment.
  • In case of cancellation or postponement, kindly inform us at least 24 hours in advance.

Fasting and Medication

  • We recommend that you fast for 12 hours before your health check-up appointment.
  • You may drink water but not tea/coffee or any other liquids.
  • Completely avoid consuming alcohol at least 12 hours before the health check-up.
  • If you are on thyroid medication, you may take your morning dose. For blood pressure (BP) medication, certain types of pills (e.g., β-blockers) must be avoided on the day of the check-up. Please confirm with your doctor if your BP medication should be taken/avoided before the health check-up.
  • If you are on diabetes medication, kindly bring your morning dose to the hospital and you may consume it after your blood has been collected (You should notify your service coordinator upon arrival for the health check-up regarding this).
  • For DEXA, avoid taking calcium supplements 24 hours before the check-up.

Preparing for Your Check-up

  • For Eye Check-up: Do not wear contact lenses for at least 24 hours before the check-up; use spectacles instead.
  • For Spirometry: Please avoid smoking 12 hours before the check-up and avoid using inhalers on the day of the check-up.
  • For Stress Test (men): Kindly shave the chest before the check-up.
  • For Pelvic Sonography: Drink at least 2 litres of water over a period of 1-2 hours before your check-up (so that the bladder is full for the test).
  • For Urine and Stool Tests: Provide your fasting urine sample at the hospital on the day of your health check-up. You can collect the containers for your stool sample from the health check-up department in advance.
  • In case you are on medication or have any illness (current or previous), you are advised to bring your previous medical records.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear and minimum jewellery on the day of the check-up.

  • Kindly indicate the name of your company and package when scheduling the appointment.
  • Please bring along your referral letter/ credit note and employee ID.

Important Notes

  • Additional investigations and consultations can be provided, subject to appointment availability. These will be billed separately in addition to the selected package. If booked on the same day, the discount will be applicable.
  • Breakfast will be served after the fasting blood sample is collected.

Special Instructions

  • The ophthalmology screening consultation included in the package entails:
    • Detailed medical history with current complaints
    • Vision checks with and without glasses (distant vision)
    • Near vision check
    • Colour vision check
    • Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP)

*All the tests are performed by an optometrist.

The doctor examines using a slit lamp (anterior and posterior segments - undilated retina to assess for cataracts). If you wish to undergo a detailed eye check-up, kindly inform the health check-up team in advance. If a more detailed eye check-up is required, additional charges will apply.

  • Before an MRI, if you have had prior surgery/metallic implants (e.g., rods and screws, pacemakers, cochlear implants, etc.), please inform the health check-up executive when making the appointment.
  • The physician consultation will be based on the information given on the Health Questionnaire and the blood and diagnostic investigations done on the day of the health check. Some reports may be in a provisional state. If you have any specific concerns or questions and current medications to be discussed with the physician, please prepare them beforehand.
  • The dental, ENT, and gynaecology consultations included in the health check-up are for screening and identifying any speciality-specific risk factors.
  • The Comprehensive Package may take 2 days to complete, while all other packages take 6 to 7 hours for completion of all investigations. We aim to complete the investigations in the packages earlier than the mentioned period.
  • No refund can be given for any test/consultation not performed because of medical reasons or personal choice for any health check package. There will be no exchange of any other test against the test not performed.

Afternoon Executive Health Check-Up

We now offer a more convenient afternoon EHC appointment so that you do not need to arrive at the hospital fasting early in the morning. We will collect your blood samples from home. You can then come to the hospital for the remaining tests and consultations between 12:00 and 1:00 pm on a pre-booked date. Home collection charges are applicable.

Appointment Notes

  • An appointment once booked can only be changed 24 hours prior.
  • New appointments should be within 7 days of the home sample collection.
  • Afternoon slots are not available for the Comprehensive package.
  • Afternoon slots are available from Monday to Thursday.
  • Check-up duration will be 4–5 hours based on the packages selected.
