Surgical Oncology

About Us

Surgical oncology is a branch of oncology where surgery is used to treat cancers, mainly focusing on removing malignant tumours after careful diagnosis and evaluation. It also includes performing reconstruction, rehabilitation and palliation procedures when needed. The department of surgical oncology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, a first-of-its-kind multi-disciplinary tertiary private hospital, offers a comprehensive state-of-the-art cancer care for the treatment of various cancers using surgery.

Our department, staffed by highly trained and qualified multi-specialty surgeons, nurses and paramedical personnel, is dedicated to offering high-quality surgical oncology services. Up-to-date recommended standard-of-care protocols and approaches for cancer treatment are followed. Preventive rehabilitation services are also provided. The Centre for Rehabilitation Medicine is equipped with latest physiotherapy equipment.

  • Malignancies involving the peritoneum as in colon, ovarian, appendix, and primary peritoneal cancers
The Tower

The department has a meticulously planned world-class infrastructure and cutting-edge technology.

A highly skilled surgical team, comprising surgeons, nurses, and paramedical personnel, is assisted by a multi-disciplinary team of specialists from the diagnostic, radiology, anaesthesia and medical oncology departments among others. In addition, in keeping with the mission for rehabilitative care, the Centre for Rehabilitation Medicine is equipped with latest physiotherapy equipment.
