Daycare services at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital are designed for patients requiring advanced medical care and procedures that can be completed within a single day, eliminating the need for overnight stays. With a focus on convenience and efficiency, our dedicated daycare unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and managed by a team of expert medical professionals. The Tower

Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre offers day care admission services in Mumbai with and has a dedicated hospital day care unit equipped with 19 beds for ambulatory care services i.e., day care treatments / short-stay procedures / outpatient surgery. The centre has 7 dedicated procedure rooms on the same floor for Endoscopy, Lithotripsy, Bronchoscopy, and Cystoscopy.

Other day care services provided include Sleep Studies, Brachytherapy, and Infusions (e.g., Iron, Albumin).

The Tower

The Chemotherapy Unit is located on the 4th Floor, South Wing, Tower building, and includes 11 patient beds. It operates from 8 AM to 10 PM and features a satellite pharmacy for compounding infusions. Open, private, and isolation bays are also available.

  • What are the charges for chemotherapy?
    • Chemotherapy costs vary based on the protocols prescribed by the oncologist. For drug costs and estimates, kindly call on +91 8104983920.
  • How to book an appointment?
    • Consult a medical oncologist with a prior appointment.
    • The oncologist will evaluate your reports, prescribe chemotherapy cycles, and request necessary blood work or biopsies.
    • After meeting pre-requirements, appointments can be scheduled via phone (+91 8104983920) or by visiting the 4th Floor Day-Care Unit.
  • Requirements for a chemotherapy appointment:
    • Pre-book your appointment.
    • Complete prescribed blood work and share results with the doctor’s team.
    • Arrive on time for treatment on the 4th Floor, Tower Building.
    • Follow post-treatment care as outlined in the discharge summary.
  • Cashless Facility: Available for day-care chemotherapy; refer to TPA Guidelines.
The Tower

The Dialysis Unit is located on the 4th Floor, South Wing, Tower building, and operates 24/7 throughout the year. It includes 14 patient beds with private and isolation bays for added privacy and infection control.

  • Services Provided:
    • Dialysis: Removes excess water, solutes, and toxins from the blood.
    • Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis (SLED): Renal replacement therapy for critically ill patients with acute kidney injury and hemodynamic instability.
    • Plasma Exchange: Removes antibodies, abnormal proteins, or harmful substances from the blood.
  • Charges: Includes nursing care, dialysis procedure cost, and one standard meal (excluding costs for dialyzer, blood tests, HGT, and consumables).
  • Post-operative Care: Follow prescribed fluid restrictions strictly.
  • How to book an appointment?
    • Consult a nephrologist with a prior appointment.
    • Complete prescribed blood work and discuss required dialysis sessions with your doctor.
    • Schedule appointments via phone (+91 22 61305054) or by visiting the Dialysis Unit on the 4th Floor, Tower Building.

FAQs

After submission of the refund form and cancelled cheque on the billing desk, the refund will be processed and should be reflected in your account within 4–5 working days.

The cost for various infusions depends on the medicine cost and dosage. For an estimate, please connect the billing desk with your prescription.

The charges for every scopy is variable. Charges and estimate can be provided digitally or in person once the doctor’s prescription is shared.

For Gastro scopies: You may consult with a gastroenterologist on the 3rd floor of the Tower building with a prior appointment. The team will assist you in scheduling the procedure.

For Bronchoscopies/EBUS: You may consult with a pulmonologist or chest physician on the 1st floor of the Heritage building with a prior appointment. The team will assist you in scheduling the procedure.

For Cystoscopies: You may consult with a urologist on 3rd floor urology department.

The time required for a scopy procedure varies depending on the type of procedure being performed. Our team will provide you with more specific details during your consultation.

Whether or not you can take your morning medication before a scopy depends on the specific procedure and instructions provided while confirming the scopy appointment.

Coverage for the procedure depends on the terms of your insurance policy. To check if your procedure is eligible for cashless payment, please contact your insurance provider or visit the hospital’s TPA Desk for assistance.

To apply for cashless, please refer to the TPA guidelines available on our website for detailed instructions. We recommend contacting your insurer in advance to ensure a smooth and timely process.

Your biopsy report will be available within 4 working days. You can also access the report conveniently through the RFH app on your phone.

Once your biopsy reports are ready, you may book an appointment to view them by contacting our Contact Centre at 1800221166.

Your primary doctor or their assistant will inform you about the date and time for your follow-up consultation.

You can request a duplicate color print of your films by paying a fixed charge at the Day-care Ambulatory Billing Desk.

This varies on a case-to-case basis. Please get in touch with the reception staff for more details post procedure.

Final TPA approval typically takes around 2 hours from the time the final claim is submitted. However, the TAT may vary for different insurance providers.

Our TPA team works closely with your insurance provider for final approval. Some insurance companies offer a fast-track option, which may speed up the process.

The charges for chemotherapy and immunotherapy vary based on the protocol. A fixed charge of approximately Rs. 15,000–20,000 is levied which includes charges for bed, doctor visit, and chemotherapy administration. However, the cost for the medication is variable.

Bed allocation depends on availability, and there is no provision to reserve a specific bed.

The duration of chemotherapy varies depending on the protocol. These sessions typically last between 1 to 6 hrs, but some may take a longer time.

The common side effects will be explained by your primary physician before the infusion. These side effects depend on the drugs used and your body’s response to the given drug. It is important to inform your doctor of any know drug allergies prior to the infusion.

Most health insurance plans cover chemotherapy under their policy, but the amount covered may vary based on your insurance provider and policy. Please check with your insurance for specific details.

You may consult your oncologist, who may recommend labs tests to assess your condition before starting chemotherapy.

Please bring the following:

One attendant is required to accompany you during admission.

Patient meal is provided as per the scheduled time. The attendants can have meals at the visitors’ cafeteria

You may bring your own food, but you will need a food pass from the hospital dietitian, after consulting with your primary doctor.

Various modes for payment are made available to pay on the day of treatment and prior. Cash, Card, NEFT, Online via Website or over the billing desk.
