Dr. Verma graduated from the University of Mumbai and later completed his DCH at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Mumbai, followed by his MD in Paediatrics at Mumbai University. Dr. Verma also earned his MRCP in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians in the UK after working at prestigious institutions such as the Neonatal Unit of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital and the Host Defence unit of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. He has served as the Head of Neonatology at Wockhardt Hospital and Seven Hills Hospital and as Consultant and Head of the Department of Neonatology and Paediatric Intensive Care at Bombay Hospital. He also worked as a senior Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at Lokmanya Tilak General Hospital, Sion. As one of Mumbai’s leading paediatricians and neonatologists, he serves as a teacher and mentor for the DNB program at our hospital. Dr. Verma holds memberships and leadership roles in various professional associations: he is a life member of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) of India and the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (Mumbai branch); he is currently the President of the Neonatology Forum in Mumbai; he is a Visiting Scholar in Neonatology at Babies and Children’s Hospital, part of the Columbia Presbyterian Group of Hospitals in New York, USA; and he is also a Visiting Fellow at the Regional Neonatal Referral Unit at Kings College Hospital in London, UK. Dr. Verma has authored several publications in both national and international journals.
