About Us:

Dr. Arvind Kulkarni is a Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Department of Orthopaedics, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is a Visiting Professor at Weill-Cornell Medical University, New York.

Dr. Kulkarni is one of the pioneers of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in India. He has performed more than 7500 spine surgeries and created the ‘Spine Surgery Checklist’ to enhance safety. Dr. Kulkarni has performed the First Prodisc-L Artificial Lumbar Disc Replacement in India (mentioned in the Limca book of Records) and is the First Spine Surgeon in the World to perform Tubular Discectomy using a 12 mm-portal (citation in Indian Book of Records). He has been cited five times in the International Spine Magazine ‘Spinal News International’.  

Dr. Kulkarni is the recipient of numerous national and international awards, and has published more than 75 research articles, 20 textbook chapters, and 300 podium presentations. He is invited all over the world to deliver lectures. His lectures are a part of the curriculum for European Diploma in Spine Surgery Programme. He has edited a textbook on ‘Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery’.

Dr. Kulkarni is one of the Founding Members of the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeons Association of Bharath (M.I.S.S.A.B.).
