Dr. Bindu is the Chief Intensivist in the Department of Liver and Liver Transplant ICU at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai.
With a background in Anaesthesiology, she progressed on to complete her training in Critical Care (EDIC, IDCCM, IFCCM). She has worked in various institutes in India acquiring skills and experience in liver ICU and transplant, major trauma, general intensive care, advance respiratory and cardiac support, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). She is proficient in difficult vascular access services and long lines. She was a member of the core team developing protocols and policies during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. She was an integral part of the ECMO retrieval program. She is trained in basic and advanced ECHO and Doppler imaging. She has also completed a 3-month clinical fellowship at the Liver Intensive Care Unit, Kings College, London.
Dr. Bindu is an IDCCM teacher and has authored multiple journal publications. Besides, she has written chapters in critical care textbooks and is the editor of two very popular critical care books for interpreting clinical investigations in the ICU as well as an ICU manual.
