Dr. Mehta graduated from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai and received his MD (Internal Medicine) and DNB (Cardiology) from Grant Medical College & Sir JJ Group Of Hospitals, Mumbai. He has received extensive training in coronary and paediatric interventions (University Hospital, Switzerland), peripheral, carotid and renal interventions (Lenox Hill Hospital, New York), rotational atherectomy (Kings Hospital, London and Hanusch University Hospital, Austria) and TAVI and other structural heart interventions (Budapest).
Dr. Mehta has performed 10000+ single-operator coronary interventions. He is credited with performing Maharashtra’s first, and India’s second, transcutaneous double valve-in-valve replacement and India’s first Impella device implantation in a nonagenarian.
Dr. Mehta is a Proctor for TAVR (Medtronic and Meril Valves). He is a Fellow and also a member of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, Cardiology Society of India, Indian College of Cardiology and Indian Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Mehta has authored several journal publications and national and international conference presentations.
