Dr. Harvesp Panthakey is the Chief of Adult Cardiac Anaesthesia Services at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. After completing his M.D. from KEM Hospital, he has worked as a Consultant at the Asian Heart Institute & Research Centre for 7 years. Subsequently, he was involved in establishing the Cardiac Anaesthesia Department and I.C.U. at Wockhardt (Umrao) and Kohinoor Hospitals.
His areas of expertise comprise complex cardiac surgeries, including heart and lung transplant, minimally invasive CABG, and valve replacements. He is the pioneer of the TAVR programme at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre and has performed several surgeries with successful outcomes.
Dr. Panthakey has managed numerous patients having complex cardiac issues requiring non-cardiac surgeries at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
Dr. Panthakey is a certified Basic Life Support (B.L.S.) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S.) trainer. He is also an active member of national bodies like Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (I.A.C.T.A.) and Indian Society of Anesthesiologists (I.S.A.). Dr. Panthakey is a qualified D.N.B. Teacher with academic interests. He has numerous national and international publications to his name.
