Dr. Madhav Kamat is a distinguished urologist who works as a consultant at several prominent hospitals in Mumbai. Dr. Kamat has been Chairman at J.J. group of Hospitals, Mumbai, and a Professor at Grant Medical College (Department of Urology). He was also Assistant Professor of Urology at New Jersey College of Medicine.
Dr. Kamat was appointed as Senior Consultant Urologist on Panel of Indian Airlines/Air India from 1997 to 2001. He was appointed as Urologist to the Governor of Maharashtra and was the President of the Urological Society of India (USI) from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Kamat is a pioneer in the field of renal transplants in India and was appointed by the Maharashtra Government on the Committee to Compose the Guidelines for Maharashtra Kidney Transplantation Act of 1982.
