Dr. Manish Chhabria is a Consultant at the Department of Neurology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
He has completed his D.N.B. in General Medicine & Neurology from PD Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. He worked there for 7 years holding positions of Clinical Assistant, Junior Clinical Assistant, and Registrar.
He also worked at the paediatric ICU of BJ Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. He worked as a Clinical Associate at the Centre of Excellence for Brain & Nervous Systems at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute, Mumbai.
Dr. Chhabria has several scientific papers and chapters to his credit and has published in national and international journals, books, and newspapers. He has extensively contributed to the clinical research, being a co-investigator in DECIDE multinational RCT (2010–2013) of Daclizumab vs Interferon in RRMS. He is certified to administer the Kurtzke Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) for examining patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). He has published ‘A Profile of Anaemia in CKD’ (2009) and “Pattern of Atherosclerosis in Ischemic Stroke in Indian Population’ (2012). He is an instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Dr. Chhabria has presented several award-winning papers and presentations at neurology conferences and academic meetings. He won the Best Neurology Paper Award at the Annual Conference BNA, the 2nd Runner-up Prize at 21st IANCON, Indore, and the 1st Runner-up Prize at TYSA 2012-13 (West zone), India. He has contributed to the book Practical Methods in Clinical Medicine, published in 2010.
He is an active member of the International Parkinson's Diseases and Movement Disorder Society (IPMDS), USA; Indian Academy of Neurology and Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society, India & several other societies.
