His academic journey includes advanced training in critical care at renowned institutions such as Tata Memorial Centre, Bombay Hospital Institute, and Jaslok Hospital, further honing his expertise in managing critically ill patients. Dr. Shah has undertaken observerships and specialized short courses across leading international centers in Singapore, Italy, and more, refining his skills in state-of-the-art ICU management.

Dr. Shah has led critical care teams in various specialties, including trauma, transplant, oncology, neurocritical care, and cardiovascular intensive care. His expertise in advanced life support technologies such as ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), ventricular assist devices, and renal replacement therapy has made him a leader in critical care innovation. With a strong academic foundation and global exposure, Dr. Shah brings best practices from top-tier institutions worldwide to his clinical work, impacting the field of critical care in India.

Clinical Contributions

  • Leads the Surgical ICU, ensuring evidence-based, multidisciplinary care.
  • Serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), shaping the future of intensive care in India.
  • Oversees the Tele-ICU Program, managing 100 ICU beds nationwide and providing expert intensivist support to remote and underserved areas.
  • Certified Instructor for Advanced and Basic Cardiac Life Support (AHA) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ACS), training over 1,000 doctors in BLS across hospitals and communities.
