Dr. Shah graduated from A.C.P.M. Medical College (Jawahar Medical Foundation, India) in 1997. Thereafter, he spent 13 years in the UK, receiving his MRCP in 2003, MD (Cardiovascular Medicine) from the University of Dundee, UK, in 2008, and a certification in cardiology in 2013 (Oxford, UK), while working at several prestigious hospitals across the UK, such as Royal Bournemouth Hospital, John Radcliffe Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital, New Cross Hospital, Grantham and District Hospital, Leicester Royal Infirmary and University of Dundee - Ninewells Hospitals, before returning to India in 2014.
Dr. Shah is an expert in both general and interventional cardiology, including in performing simple and complex coronary intervention using both the femoral and radial (80–90%) approach. He has performed India’s first excimer laser coronary angioplasty and western India’s first leadless pacemaker implantation.
Dr. Shah is a certified Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor since September 2007 and holds an accreditation from British Society of Echocardiography (BSE). He is a Proctor for IVUS, Rotablation, complex angioplasties and laser angioplasty.
Dr. Shah has authored 16 research and 22 conference publications. He has also been an invited speaker or faculty member at many seminars and conferences.
