Dr. Shah is an expert in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and a pioneer of Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and has organised workshops for the same since 2004, which have benefited hundreds of ENT surgeons across the country. At Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Dr. Shah has been the Programme Director for the Fellowship Programme in Endoscopic Sinus & Skull Base Surgery since February 2007. Dr. Shah fined tuned his surgical skills at several centres in Europe and the U.S.A. during his stint as a Clinical Lecturer at K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, where he worked for 4 years.
Dr. Shah was an invited faculty at over 300 workshops in India and over 30 international meetings abroad; he has delivered various prestigious orations across the globe. He has authored 3 books on ENT, multiple book chapters, and articles. Dr. Shah is also a Reviewer for multiple acclaimed journals.
He was the Head and Coordinator of the D.N.B (ENT) Programme at Bombay Hospital (2005‒2017), and over 40 young ENT surgeons from all over India have completed his Fellowship Programme. He was President of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (Mumbai) (2001) and President of the All India Rhinology Society (2011).
