Dr. Sadhna Desai is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Mumbai University, Dr. Sadhana Desai pursued a DGO. She is a Diplomate of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
An honorary physician to the Governor of Maharashtra, Dr. Desai has received many awards including ‘Outstanding Achievement in Assisted Reproductive Technology’ by Manipal Association of Clinical Embryologists, ‘Lifetime Achievement’ from Indian Fertility Society and the ‘FIGO Award’ as recognition for being an outstanding woman in obstetrics and gynaecology from a developing country in 2009.
Dr. Sadhna is currently an Emeritus Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Institute of Medical Science and has been a faculty member for the last 20 years. She was also a member of the FIGO Advisory Panel in Reproductive Medicine (2001-2006). She is the founder fellow of the Indian Academy of Juvenile & Adolescent Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Indian Association of Gynaecological and Endoscopists, and Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists.
Dr. Sadhna has written many articles, contributed to 40 chapters, edited 7 books, and delivered more than 100 guest lectures on various national and international platforms. She has been a peer reviewer for the Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of India since 2000 and has conducted ten training workshops on infertility and assisted reproduction for India gynaecologists.
