Dr. Sandip Katkade is a Consultant at the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing his M.B.B.S. from B. J. Medical College (Pune) and M.D. from Dr. TNMC Nair Hospital (Mumbai), Dr. Sandip pursued a fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital, Bangalore. During his Fellowship, he gained extensive experience in adult as well as paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia and perioperative care of patients with cardiac diseases. Prior to his association with H N Hospital, Dr. Sandip was working at Seven Hills Hospital, Mumbai as a Consultant Cardiac Anaesthesiologist.
He has independently treated cases involving entire perioperative management, such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic aneurysm surgery, pulmonary endarterectomy, atrial septal defect (ASD), ventricular septal defect (VSD), total anomalous pulmonary venous connection, transposition of the great arteries, atrio-ventricular (AV) canal repair, and arterial and atrial switch surgeries. Dr. Katkade is also well-versed with transoesophageal echocardiography and Cardiac Cath lab procedures, such as ASD/VSD/patent ductus arteriosus device, transcatheter mitral valve replacement, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
Dr. Katkade is a member of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Paediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI), and Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (IACTA). He has been invited as a Faculty Member at various national conferences like Paediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI).
