About Us:

Dr. Prof Shashank R Joshi is the President of Indian Academy of Diabetes, Immediate Past Dean of the Indian College of Physicians, and Chair of the International Diabetes Federation (South East Asia Region). He is the Past President of Endocrine Society of India (ESI), Association of Physicians of India (API), Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI), Hypertension Society of India (HSI), and the All India Association for Advancement for Research in Obesity, an IASO Affiliate (AIAARO). He is also the Founder Vice President of The PCOS Society (PCOS) and a former Secretary of the Indian Thyroid Society (ITS). He is the Honorary Emeritus Editor of the Journal of The Association of Physicians of India (JAPI) and Chief-Editor of Journal of Medical Nutrition and Nutracueticals and Indian Journal of Medical Sciences (IJMS). He was a contributing member of the 8th edition of International Diabetes Federation Atlas 2017. He is an Executive member of Diabetes Asia Study Group (DASG) and the Immediate Past Chapter Chair (India) of American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE). In academia, Dr Joshi has served as a faculty member in Medicine at Grant Medical College and Sir J.J .Gorup of Hospitals and Past faculty of Endocrinology of Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. He has topped all years of MBBS, MD, and DM with Gold Medals. Dr. Joshi has an extensive portfolio of over 800 research publications to his credit. Additionally, he has held editorial positions, including an Ex- Editor of the Indian Journal of Obesity, Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Indian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, among other leading medical journals.

He serves as visiting faculty at several prestigious Indian and International Universities. He is deeply engaged in evidence-based research and clinical work in Endocrinology including Diabetes, Obesity, Thyroid, Osteoporosis and Growth. He was conferred the “International Clinician of the year 2012” by the American College of Endocrinology. He has been conferred in 2014 "Padma Shri" by the Government of India, one of the country’s highest civilian honours.
