About Us:

Dr. Shiva received his MS (General Surgery) from Bangalore Medical College and his MCh (Cardio-thoracic & and Vascular Surgery) from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India, in 1992. He also holds a fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery from Royal Alexandra Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and visiting fellowships from Stanford University Medical Centre, San Francisco, USA and University Hospital Coimbra, Portugal.

Dr. Shiva has been a Clinical Professor and Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon at the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, Chennai and Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. He was also the Chief Paediatric and Congenital Heart Surgeon at Seven Hills Hospital.

Dr. Shiva is a member of the Indian Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons and Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon’s Network. He is also a Founder-Member and past President of the Paediatric Cardiac Society India (2016-2018).

Dr. Shiva has authored more than 60 indexed publications in national and international journals. He has also presented more than 100 papers at national and international conferences. He is a much-invited speaker and has also delivered the prestigious KN Dastur Oration and Jayadeva orations at annual conferences of Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Indian College of Cardiology in the past.
