About Us:

Dr. Advani graduated from Bombay University in 1969 and received his MD (General Medicine) in 1973. He has received specialised training in bone marrow transplantation and medical oncology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre, Seattle, Washington, USA, under the International Cancer Research Technology Transfer (ICRETT), in 1981. He has also completed a fellowship at the Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International Cancer, under a study grant of the International Union against Cancer (UICC), in 1986.  

He has been a medical oncologist and haematologist for the last 40 years. He pioneered bone marrow transplantation programmes in India.  

An expert in both modern medical oncology and paediatric oncology, Dr. Advani is currently working with biological therapeutics targeting specific molecules on cancer cells. He currently holds the post of Professor, Medical Oncology, at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Advani has authored 600+ publications and is an editorial board member of various journals. He is a 1st rank holder in physiology and anatomy. He has received numerous awards, including the Padma Bhushan in 2012, and has held leadership positions in many professional associations.
