About Us:

Dr. Meeran graduated from Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, in 2009. Thereafter, he completed his MD (Internal Medicine) residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, John Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA, in 2014. He also holds fellowships in General Cardiovascular Medicine, Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant Cardiology, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Mechanical Circulatory Support from Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, USA (2014–18). He was the Chief Cardiology Fellow at Allegheny General Hospital (2016–17).

Dr. Meeran is India’s only American board-certified cardiologist who provides post- transplant care for heart transplant recipients and patients with artificial heart pumps (LVAD). He also holds a Level III certification from the American Society of Echocardiography for performing and interpreting echocardiograms.

Dr. Meeran is an executive committee member of the Society for Heart Failure and Transplant (SfHFT), India, and the co-chair of the heart-lung transplant sub-committee of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC), Mumbai. He was awarded the ’Profiles in Excellence Award‘ at the Maryland American College of Physicians, Maryland, USA, in 2014. He has co-authored 8 research and 11 conference publications.
