Dr. Vivek Agrawal is a Brain, Spine, and Interventional Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Department of Neurosurgery, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing his M.Ch. (Neurosurgery), Dr. Agrawal pursued fellowships in Interventional Neuroradiology, and Minimal Invasive Neurosurgery and Trauma care. Recently, he completed training in Conventional and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery from Technical University Hospital, Munich, Germany.
Dr. Agrawal worked as a Senior Registrar, followed by Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurosurgery, Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals. He worked as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Fortis Group of Hospitals, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, Baba Sahib Ambedkar, Central Railway Hospital and Jag Jeevan Ram Hospital, Western Railways.
During his fellowship at The Alfred, he was awarded The Alfred Trauma Research Development Award for his work. He also won the Best Dissertation and Best Research Paper Award by Research Society, GMC, Mumbai and Best Paper Award by Neurotrauma Society of India/Bombay Neurological Association and has received several scholarships in his field of expertise.
Apart from multiple presentations and publications in several international and national conferences and journals, Dr. Agrawal has also been a part of advanced research projects using animal models, namely ‘Haemostatic Effect of Human Fibrin Glue on Bleeding Brain Surface of Wistar Rats’ and ‘Role of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Acute Traumatic Brain Injury’.
