Dr. Aashish Contractor is a Consultant at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, and serves as the Director of the Centre for Rehabilitation Medicine and Sports Medicine.

Previously, he has been the Head of the Department of Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation at the Asian Heart Institute since its inception in 2002 until June 2014. Widely regarded as the Pioneer of cardiac rehabilitation and sports cardiology in India, and set up the first telemetry monitored centre in the country in Mumbai in 2001.

Dr. Contractor and his team look after the sports medicine needs of more than a hundred athletes, representing India at International competitions.

On the academic front, Dr. Contractor has worked and trained in the United States under leading experts in his field. He completed his medical training at the T. N. Medical College, Mumbai and post-graduate training at the University of Virginia, USA.

Dr. Contractor has been the Vice-Chairman of the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, which includes 45 countries around the world. He has served as the Certification Director of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in India since November 2003. He was the Medical Director for the Tata Mumbai Marathon from 2004 to 2014, as well as several international sporting events in India. He is an avid sportsman, having participated in several marathons and a non-stop Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai cycle ride (329 km) and helped raise 1.1 crore rupees for children with cancer in April 2012.

Dr. Contractor has authored a book, ‘The Heart Truth’, on heart disease prevention and rehabilitation. He has authored several International scientific publications and textbooks as well as journals.

Dr. Abhijit A Raut is the Director of Radiology and Imaging at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Abhijit A Raut has a distinguished career spanning multiple prestigious institutions. His contributions to academic research and his commitment to teaching the next generation of radiologists underscore his dedication to the advancement of radiology. Dr. Raut’s special interests in cardiovascular, thoracic, abdominal, and head-neck imaging make him a valuable asset to the team, ensuring the availability of top-tier diagnostic services for patients.

Dr. Raut has authored over 50 papers published in indexed journals. He is a teacher and examiner for D.N.B. program.

Dr. Abhijit Thakur completed his post-graduation (MS [Gen Surgery]) at B.Y.L. Nair Hospital in 2000. He has been actively practising for 18 years, performing all types of general, gastrointestinal, hepato-biliary, and head and neck surgeries using open and laparoscopic techniques.

He received extensive training for basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries in India and abroad. He was trained in advanced gastrointestinal, pancreas, spleen, and colorectal laparoscopic surgery by Prof. Zimmerman and Prof. Henry in France.

He completed the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES) Fellowship in Endocrine Surgery from University Hospital La Timone Marseille, France. He received training in thyroid, parathyroid, neck, thymus, adrenal, pancreas, open, and laparoscopic surgeries for two semesters by Prof. Henry in France. He was trained in general, gastrointestinal, hepato-pancreatico-biliary, breast cancer, and head and neck cancer surgeries by renowned cancer surgeons at Tata Memorial Hospital and PD Hinduja Hospital.

Additionally, he is a life member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Foundation for Head Neck Oncology (FHNO), the Association of Medical Consultant (AMC), and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). He has also published many papers in international and national indexed medical journals and has published a book on the management of acute pancreatitis.

Dr. Abhishek K Shah is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Shah has worked alongside Dr. Samuel Mathew and Dr. Ajit Menon gaining extensive experience in complex interventional cases. He has had immense exposure to interventional cardiology and minimally invasive surgery for structural diseases during his tenure at some of the premium institutes of India - UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology, Sir H. N. Reliance Hospital, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Breach Candy Hospital.

Dr. Abhishek Kini is a Consultant Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic surgeon in the Orthopaedic department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Kini completed his MBBS from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, MUHS in 2007 and his DNB in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Tejasvini Hospital and SSIOT, Mangalore. He was further trained at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Cromwell Hospital, London and Hampshire Clinic in the UK as a fellow in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. He underwent specialised training as a Fellow in High Osteotomy. He later trained at the Marien Hospital, Dusseldorf, Germany and was a Fellow in Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy at the Academic Medical Centre, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Dr. Kini is certified in advanced trauma life support. He is a member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, Indian Foot and Ankle Society, Bombay Orthopaedic Society, AO Trauma India, and AO Spine India. He is a faculty member at the Indian Foot and Ankle Society (IIFAS) and undertakes educational activities around the country. He has authored 13 indexed publications and delivered more than 30 presentations at orthopaedic conferences.

Dr. Kulkarni graduated from Grant Medical College in Mumbai with several distinctions. He then obtained his MD in Paediatrics . Dr. Kulkarni completed his post-doctoral training in paediatric and adolescent endocrinology at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in India. In 2014, he also received a Visiting Fellowship from the Royal College of Child Health in London.

One of India’s leading paediatric and adolescent endocrinologists, Dr. Kulkarni, has established and headed specialised clinics for the management of growth disorders, juvenile diabetes, obesity, pubertal disorders, thyroid disorders, metabolic and genetic bone diseases, disorders of sex development, and neonatal hypoglycaemia. He has diagnosed and treated many rare paediatric endocrine disorders in India.

Dr. Kulkarni is an expert clinician, keen academic and avid researcher. He is a conferee of the AHERF India’s adjunct title, Honorary Associate Professor of Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology. He currently leads a post-doctoral fellowship program to train and mentor future paediatric and adolescent endocrinologists.

Dr. Aditya Daftary is a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Radiology and Imaging at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is also the founder of InnoVision Imaging, one of the leading providers of musculoskeletal radiology and interventional services in India, associated with Sportsmed, Mumbai.

Dr. Daftary is US board-certified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, and practices musculoskeletal radiology and image-guided injections for pain management. Since 2004, he has been the official doctor for the Indian Men's Cricket Team during international tours and ICC events. He is closely involved in the care and management of many elite athletes

He completed his MBBS from Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, University of Mumbai (February 1997), followed by training in nuclear medicine, radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, and musculoskeletal imaging and interventional radiology at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He has also completed the International Olympic Committee diploma in sports medicine for physicians.

Dr. Aditya Daftary has received several honours and awards., including the Special Recognition Certificate for excellence in teaching for Radiology residents at the Yale University School of Medicine and the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Award. He was also the Intern of the year [2000-01] at the Yale Primary Care Residency program.

Dr. Daftary has published and presented many publications in Radiology, notably in musculoskeletal interventions and has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. Presently, his interest areas include imaging and interventions pertaining to sports and orthopaedics. He is closely involved in several international level sportspersons including the national cricket team, IPL, ISL and Olympic athletes.

Dr. Advait D. Ingole is a Consultant Intensivist at the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Ajanta Narvekar is a Consultant Gynaecologist & Fertility Specialist in the Department of Well Women Centre at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

She specialises in treatment of infertility by all modalities including microsurgery, endoscopic surgery, IVF and its allied assisted reproduction procedures.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Kantharia has a diverse academic background in teaching. He served as a guest lecturer at Jamshedji Tata Ambulance College in 1983 and held the position of Honorary Assistant Lecturer at the same institute for its Specialist Instructors course in “First Aid to the Injured and Home Nursing” in 1984.

He has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate nursing students while working as a registrar. He regularly conducts teaching sessions for family physicians on topics, such as diabetes, cardiology, and electrocardiography (ECG) interpretation. Additionally, he has served as a teacher in Critical Care at the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Indo-Australian Critical Care Foundation, where he is also an examiner in Critical Care.

In 2016, he was appointed as a teacher in Critical Care Medicine for the Fellowship of National Board (FNB). He was among the invited faculties at numerous conferences. He has published several papers, especially on Emergencies in Medical Practice.

Dr Ajay Indur Dudani is a consultant in the ophthalmology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr Dudani is adept at complex vitreoretinal surgeries like retinal detachment surgery, diabetic eye disease treatment, macular hole surgery, macular pucker treatment, and laser therapy and intravitreal injections for age-related macular degeneration and branch retinal vein occlusion.

He has a special interest in optical coherence tomography and fundus fluorescein angiography, as well as inherited retinal degeneration diseases like retinitis pigmentosa. He has 20 years of experience in managing retinopathy of prematurity with lasers and intravitreal injections.

Dr. Desai graduated from University of Bombay, Mumbai. Thereafter, he received his MD (Medicine), DM (Cardiology) and DNB (Cardiology). He has received training in Interventional Cardiology, under Dr. Alan Cribbier, at the Cardiac Center, Rouen, France and also holds an MNAMS and FACC.

Dr. Desai has worked as Assistant Honorary Cardiologist at KB Bhabha Municipal Hospital, Mumbai, and as Assistant Professor - Cardiology at T.N. Medical College. In addition to his association with our hospital, he is an interventional cardiologist at Jaslok Hospital, Breach Candy Trust Hospital and Guru Nanak Hospital.

Dr. Desai has been a guest speaker at national and international conferences, and has also conducted workshops on percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and rotablation. He has authored/co-authored several journal publications and books, particularly on 2D echocardiography and clinical cardiology.

Ajit Menon is a practising Interventional Cardiologist with over 30 years of experience in his field after passing out from the JJ group of hospitals in 1991.

He did, a Fellowship in Investigational Cardiology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, South Australia in 1993.

He received his MD in Internal Medicine from the LTM Medical College and his DM in. Radiology from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals. He was ranked first in the University of Bombay in DM Cardiology.
 
He began his clinical practice at Cumballa Hill Hospital and Heart Institute.

He is an extremely proficient Cardiologist specialising in Interventional procedures and has performed over 10000 interventional procedures. He is a proctor for Complex Coronary interventions , Rotablators and Intravascular imaging and does workshops for teaching in various cities. He is actively involved in Transcatheter Structural Heart Valve interventions including TAVR.

He is actively involved in clinical studies and research and has been a co investigator and Principal Investigator in various studies including the Reality trial, I Optico Study, The I Focus Registry and the Shock trial.

He holds the Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology and the FSCAI.

Dr. Akash Shukla is the Director  of the Department of Hepatology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is a world-renowned expert and a pioneer in the field of vascular liver diseases. He is known for his excellent work in various aspects of liver diseases, especially ascites, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), alcoholic liver disease, Hepatitis B & C and hepatocellular carcinoma treatment.

He has published over 86 original research papers and is known for his expertise in teaching and training Gastroenterologists/ Hepatologists for the last 15 years. His papers have won the Plenary Award at the Asia-Pacific Association for the Study of Liver (APASL) in 2018, the Best Research Paper Award at the Vascular Liver Diseases Group (VALDIG) meeting in Switzerland in 2016 and also a recipient of four National Awards. He has written textbooks on ‘Jaundice’ and ‘Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease’.

He is the first non-European to be nominated to the steering committee of the Vascular Liver Diseases Interest Group, European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), Europe and has written the Asia-Pacific guidelines for the management of Budd-Chiari syndrome. He is also the secretary of the Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL) National Task Force for vascular liver diseases (Budd-Chiari syndrome, Portal vein thrombosis, non-cirrhotic portal fibrosis (NCPF), extrahepatic portal vein obstruction (EHPVO). He has also been a part of authoring several International and National Disease Management Guidelines for various liver diseases like acute liver failure, acute on chronic liver failure, nutrition in cirrhosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and NAFLD.

He has worked extensively in the field of transplant and currently holds honorary posts of Joint Director (in-charge) of Regional cum State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO-SOTTO), West and Maharashtra & Joint Secretary of Zonal Transplant Coordination Center (ZTCC), Mumbai. He is also the state advisory committee member for Group of Ministers on organ donation and transplant. Currently, he has 142 research publications in International and National Journals. 

He is Transportation Research Group of India (TRG) member for National viral hepatitis control program, Government of India and steering committee member for the Group of Ministers. He is deeply respected among his peers and is a governing council member of INASL.

Dr. Akshay Nair is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Nair's areas of interest include ptosis (droopy eye correction surgery), blepharoplasty, lacrimal surgery, and eyelid tumours. He has been honoured with the ‘Achievement Award’ by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology in 2019. He has been featured in the ‘Top 2% Scientists’ as published by Stanford University, which lists the most-cited scientists globally for 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Dr. Nair has served as an elected Member on the executive councils for the Oculoplastics Association of India, and the Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Nair has authored over 140 indexed scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals and has also contributed to 15 scientific textbooks.

Dr. Ameet Pispati is extensively trained in Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Surgery in U.K., Germany & U.S.A. He has pioneered various methods and techniques in Hip Surgery and Robotic Hip & Knee Replacement that can offer patients a better and longer-lasting result. He specializes in the latest Hip & Knee replacement procedures and Hip, Knee & Shoulder Arthroscopic techniques. He believes in enabling rapid recovery after Sports Surgery, performing complex ligament reconstructions, thereby allowing the athletes to regain his livelihood at the earliest.

Dr. Pispati performs DAA (Direct Anterior Approach) hip replacement surgery and serves as a faculty member, teaching the procedure in courses and meetings.

Dr. Pispati has been an invited faculty at courses and meetings conducted by the Mayo Clinic, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, ASEAN, Thailand, Singapore Orthopaedic Associations, and Bombay Orthopaedic Society and Indian Orthopaedic Association.

Dr. Pispati was the Doctor of the Indian Cricket Team 2003–2004 for their Test/One Day matches against New Zealand & Australia. He is also an Invited Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Accident Surgery & South Birmingham Trauma Unit (UK), in view of his exceptional caring & commitment to the Trauma patients. Dr. Purandare is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Purandare completed his MBBS from the University of Bombay. He was awarded the gold medal for DGO, MD (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from Mumbai University, FCPS, and DFP. He has been the recipient of the Best Resident Doctor Award by Seth G. S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, The Prince of Wales Gold Medal, Shri Hansraj Pragji Thackersey Prince of Wales Fellowship, and Dr. B.N. Purandare Memorial Prize.

Dr. Purandare was awarded the Dr. R.D. Pandit Memorial Prize by the FOGSI for his thesis on ‘Cervical Cerclage: Its Role in Cervical Incompetence’. He trained in Gasless Laparoscopy and Laparoscopic Adhesiolysis at the International School of Gasless Endoscopy/Endogyn Foundation, Germany. He was awarded with the Dr. Ganatra Charitable Medical Centre Award by MOGS for contribution to women’s health improvement. He has also received the Manyata Champion Award in 2018, Pride of FOGSI Award in 2019, FOGSI Future Award in 2020, AMOGS We for Stree Puraksar by Governor of Maharashtra in 2022, and MOGS Mrs Shailaja and Mr Narayan Pandit Award for Women Empowerment in 2024. He has trained undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Family Planning for 15 years.

Dr. Purandare is a life member of the Indian College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MICOG)/FOGSI and the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopy (IAGE). He has received the Fellowship of Indian College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FICOG),  MOGS Dr. C. G. Saraiya Travelling Fellowship, and J & J Ethicon Travelling Fellowship.

He is currently the Senior Vice President of Association of Maharashtra Obstetrics and Gynaecology Societies (AMOGS), and was the Joint Secretary of FOGSI in 2019. He was the Chairperson of the Food, Drugs, Medical, and Surgical Equipment Committee of FOGSI during 2015-2017, Joint Clinical Secretary at Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society, Board Member and Medical Advisory Panel of FPAI, and Assistant Administrator of FOGSI Manyata Initiative on Quality Care in Safe Childbirth.

Dr. Purandare has co-authored 31 research papers and book chapters and has conducted several clinical studies. He has been an invited speaker and chairperson at several international conferences and has presented at six of them.

Dr. Udyavar graduated from University of Mumbai, Mumbai and received his MD (Medicine), DM (Cardiology), DNB (Cardiology) from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai. He has also received further training in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac devices/ pacing from prestigious institutes in Taiwan and Australia.

Dr. Udyavar is a recipient of the J.N. Tata Scholarship (2006) and Asia-Pacific AF Symposium’s Young Investigator Award (2007). He has authored 32 journal publications.

Dr. Amish Dalal is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Dalal received extensive training in surgical oncology at the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital and gained experience in head and neck cancers as a clinical and research fellow at the Genitourinary and Gynaecological Oncology Unit. As a UICC – ICRETT fellow, he was trained at the Indiana University Medical Centre, Mayo Clinic in Rochester (Minnesota) and University of Southern California- Kenneth Norris Cancer Centre in laparoscopic surgery. He worked as a tutor of Surgery at the University of Liverpool and Royal Liverpool University Hospital performing breast cancer surgeries and breast reconstructive surgeries, completing his FRCS in 1996.

Dr. Dalal has been managing cancer patients since 1986. He is adept in the management of all solid tumours. He has received basic and advanced training in Seoul, South Korea at the Asan Medical Centre and the Yonsei Cancer Centre, where he gained experience in using 3rd generation robotic systems for surgery. He has published 22 research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He is a member at the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India (AGOI), Society of Gynaecologic Oncology (SGO), Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, and the Mumbai Oncology Association.

Dr. Amit Gupte is a Consultant of the Department of Hepatology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center. He completed his MBBS training at the prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, after which he pursued MD (Medicine) from M S University, Baroda. He received his DM (Gastroenterology) and Hepatology fellowship training from Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital. He also did Advanced Hepatology and Liver Intensive Care Observership at Kings College Hospital, London.

Dr. Gupte has worked at some of the most renowned hospitals in the city. His dependable skills and in-depth knowledge have been instrumental while handling various complex cases.

Dr. Gupte was a bright student with an impeccable academic record, for which he received various awards and scholarships, including the Young Scientist Award and 2nd prize for Best Poster at the Annual Congress of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISGCON) in 2012. He has authored several research papers in various esteemed National and International indexed medical journals on various topics, including autoimmune hepatitis, Budd Chiari syndrome, portal biliopathy, yellow phosphorus poisoning, hepatic amyloidosis, Hepatitis B and liver transplantation. He has also presented his papers at many conferences and CMEs, wherein he received well-deserved appreciation.

Dr Maydeo, the chairman of Institute of Gastrosciences at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai, has been the past President of the Society of GI Endoscopy of India. He was the first to introduce third-space endoscopy in India including procedures, such as POEM, STER & ARMS in 2012 and has also launched India’s first bariatric endoscopy program in 2018. He has published 91 papers in National and International peer reviewed journals and has written chapters in nine textbooks on GI Endoscopy and related topics. He is on the International editorial board of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and is a Co-Editor of the Endoscopy International Open journal. He has also received “the outstanding reviewer award” from GIE over the past several years.

Dr. Maydeo has been a visiting faculty for more than 200 endoscopy workshops all over the world and has himself conducted 22 International LIVE endoscopy workshops in Mumbai over the past 25 years.

Dr. Maydeo received the Padmashri Award from the President of India in 2013 for his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine and gastroenterology. He has also won awards in the 1st endoscopy world cup held in Chicago during the DDW and was selected to be a jury member for the endoscopy world cup during DDW 2016.

Dr. Maydeo is an avid teacher and runs a popular endoscopy training institute called the Endoscopy Gurukul where aspiring young endoscopists from India and abroad are taught basic as well as advanced GI endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Vora was an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology, at KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He has implanted 1000+ ICDs and 500+ bi-ventricular pacemakers and 2000 single-chamber and 4000 dual-chamber permanent pacemakers.

Dr. Vora was a 1st rank holder in the MD (Internal Medicine) and All-India Super Specialty entrance exams.

Dr. Vora is the Vice-president of the Indian Society of Electrocardiology and the Indian Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the Association of Physicians of India and the Cardiological Society of India.

Dr. Amita Shah is a Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing her MBBS and MD from the University of Mumbai in 1997 and 2002, respectively, Dr. Shah pursued a DNB (Psychiatry Medicine) under the National Board of Examination, Delhi. Her interests include mood and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and other children and women related psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Shah has gained rich clinical experience by working at various hospitals across the city and is actively involved in clinical research.

Dr. Amol Kakade is a consultant Radiation oncologist at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center, Mumbai. He received his degree from the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has a vast experience in the treatment of cancers affecting adults in the head and neck region, brain tumours, breast and thoracic cancers, as well as gynaecological cancers.

Dr. Amol Kakade is highly experienced with the most advanced radiation techniques, such as IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, VMAT and adaptive radiotherapy.

Dr. Amol Kakade has a special interest in brachytherapy, a form of highly specialized radiotherapy technique mainly used in gynaecological cancers and soft tissue sarcomas. He is passionate about caring for children with cancer and runs one of a kind Paediatric Radiation Oncology clinic in India, at Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Dr. Vadgaonkar is experienced in the field of gastroenterology with a special focus on pancreatobiliary diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, neurogastroentestinal motility disorders, GI oncology, IBS, and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Amrish S Vaidya is a Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Vaidya has been trained at the K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. He has over 30 years of experience as a consultant in Mumbai. He has been featured in the List of Best Doctors of Mumbai several times.

Dr. Anagha A. Joshi is a consultant at the ENT Department of Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. She achieved a university-wide 2nd position in her M.S. (ENT, Mumbai University) and a distinction in PMS during her M.B.B.S. She completed her D.O.R.L in 1995 from K.E.M. Hospital, followed by a D.N.B.

Dr. Joshi was the lead of the Laryngology and Voice Programme of the ENT Department at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General (L.T.M.G.) Hospital. She is experienced in performing a variety of specialised surgeries and procedures for voice restoration—phonomicrosurgery, laryngeal framework surgeries, endoscopic laser laryngeal surgeries, injection laryngoplasty and intralaryngeal Botox for spasmodic dysphonia—and treating laryngotracheal stenosis, such as endoscopic sinus surgery and its extended applications.

As an Associate Professor at the Department of ENT, L.T.M.G. Hospital, Dr. Joshi has been guiding residents on routine ENT surgeries for the last 8 years and has been actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for the past two decades. Dr. Anahita Darius Pandole is a highly qualified obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 27 years of experience in the field. She completed her MBBS in 1990 and her MD in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1994 from the Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital. Currently, she serves as a consultant at the Well Women Centre of the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. Dr. Pandole is known for her expertise in high-risk obstetrics, pelvic endoscopy, and infertility. She is actively involved with the Jio Parsi program and the Parsi Panchayat and has authored various papers.

Dr. Anant Shah is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Anant has an MD (Orthopaedics) with a post-graduate degree in sports medicine. He was awarded the Best All-Rounder Student at Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1978. He received international training in arthroscopic procedures such as arthroscopic ACL/PCL reconstruction training from the USA, Germany, and Australia and underwent shoulder arthroscopy training at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute, USA. He has co-authored eight publications and conducted several arthroscopy workshops.

Dr. Joshi specialises in correction procedures for spinal and bone deformities in adults and children. He is also a stem cell transplant surgeon and has extensive experience in knee replacement surgeries. He is a consultant to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and was the Medical Director at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Dr. Anil Karapurkar is a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He is a teacher at Bombay University and an Examiner for Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) and Diplomate of National Board (D.N.B.) in Neurosurgery. Additionally, he is a visiting Professor at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and Madurai Medical College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, Dr. Karapurkar was the President of Asian Australasian Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology (AAFITN) and the President of Cerebrovascular Society of India. He is also the Advisor of Technical Standards and Ethics for World Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN). Dr. Karapurkar is a member of many professional Indian societies such as Neurological Society of India (NSI), Neurological Surgeons Society of India (NSSI), Indian Academy of Neurosciences (IAN), Indian Society of Anesthesiology (ISA), Neurotrauma Society, International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN), and International societies including AAFITN, WFITN and Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).

Dr. Anil Tibrewala completed his M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) after completing his M.S. (General Surgery) from the University of Bombay. This was followed by a Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Surgery from Paris, France. Dr. Tibrewala has several years of working experience. Besides his association with Sir. H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre, he has had a private practice since 1988 and is also associated with Hinduja, Breach Candy, Saifee, and Habib Hospitals.

He has extensive experience in repairing congenital deformities (cleft lip, cleft palate, hypospadias, etc.), treating a wide variety of acute trauma cases (like head, face, neck, chest and abdomen and complex injuries to extremities, burns etc.), performing microsurgeries, independent management of post-cancer and post-traumatic reconstruction, bedsore reconstructions etc., performing cosmetic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, dermabrasion, and otoplasty. Moreover, he is known for his abilities with facial aesthetic surgical procedures, such as Facelift and other facial rejuvenation procedures, breast surgery (augmentation, reduction, mastopexy or reconstruction), liposuction and other body contouring procedures, autologous fat injection, abdominoplasty, hair transplantation, and post-bariatric-surgery body contouring.

Dr. Tibrewala is proficient in the use of lasers, especially the Coherent Diode Laser (‘Light Sheer’), for hair removal.

Dr. Trivedi graduated from MGM Medical College and M.Y. Hospital, Indore, in 1980. He was a demonstrator and Resident Surgical Officer (Department of Surgery) at the same institute until 1983. After receiving his MS (General Surgery) and MCh (Thoracic Surgery), he worked as a Registrar (CVTS) at BYL Nair Hospital, Bombay for 2 years. Dr. Anjali Zende is a renowned rehabilitation specialist with extensive experience in cardiopulmonary, oncology, renal, and transplant rehabilitation. As Consultant Rehab Specialist and Unit Head at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai, she leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centric care. She integrates exercise prescription, yoga, psychology, and nutrition into her programmes, fostering holistic recovery and improved outcomes. She is certified in Race Emergency Medicine by World Athletics (2019, 2022) and is an ACSM Certified Marathon Trainer (2023).

Prior to his association with the Reliance Foundation Hospital, Dr. Gupta was working as a Junior Consultant Anaesthesiologist in the Liver Transplant team at Global Hospitals, Mumbai.

Dr. Gupta completed his Fellowship in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care from Medanta - The Medicity, Gurugram. During his Fellowship, Dr. Gupta gained experience in adult as well as paediatric liver transplants, hepatobiliary anaesthesia, and perioperative care of liver disease patients. He has undergone certified training from Charite University, Berlin (Germany) for the perioperative management of patients undergoing cytoreductive and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) surgery.

Dr. Gupta’s vast experience of more than 10 years in the field of Anaesthesia involved the management of critically ill patients of all age groups and providing anaesthesia in different surgical domains, i.e., oncosurgery, thoracic surgery, gynaecology (obstetrics surgery and labour analgesia), neurosurgery, and hepatobiliary surgery. Dr. Gupta has also been a part of the surgical team in more than 350 liver transplant cases.

Dr. Dalal is a gold medal recipient in gastroenterology from the National Board of Examinations. He has extensive experience in the field of gastroenterology with special focus on pancreatobiliary diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and other specified conditions. Dr. Dalal specialises in advanced endoscopy procedures.

Dr. Ankit Mashru is a highly skilled Prosthodontist & Implantologist associated with the Dental Services department at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre since its inception.

Dr. Mashru graduated and subsequently cleared the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) in the United States in 2006. After completing his MDS, he earned Fellowship & Diplomate credentials from the International Congress of Oral Implantology, USA in 2011.

With over 20 years of experience, he has devoted the last 17 years furthering his skillset. Dr. Mashru is actively involved in implant training programs for dentists across the country, contributing to the professional development of peers in his field.

Dr. Ankita Pramanick is a Consultant Physiotherapist in the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre, since September 2014.

Dr. Pramanick completed her Bachelors in Physiotherapy, and Masters in Clinical and Sports Biomechanics from Manipal College of Allied Health sciences, Manipal University. Owing to her keen interest in three-dimensional analysis of human movement, she pursued further specialisation in Clinical Biomechanics from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen UK.

Prior to joining our hospital, Dr. Ankita Pramanick worked independently in private clinics, providing expertise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

She has extensive experience in conducting detailed three-dimensional gait and motion analysis in the Laboratory in patients with:

• neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, Duchenne Muscular dystrophy, and Parkinsons
• orthopaedic conditions including low back pain, walking disabilities due to post-injury/post-surgical/biomechanical changes in lower limbs
• in Runners and sports-specific movements.

Dr. Pramanick is also skilled in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, with vast experience in manual therapy, myo-fascial release techniques, kinesiology and dynamic taping, and neuromuscular dry needling.

On academic front, she has published articles in several National journals and is proactively involved in research work.

After completing M.B.B.S. in 1983, Dr. Mulay received his M.S. (General Surgery) in 1986 and M.Ch. (Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery) in 1989 from the University of Mumbai. He has received specialised training in cardio-thoracic surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in London (1992–96) and was also an International Fellow in Cardiac Surgery at the St. Vincent’s Hospital, USA (1997–98). He has worked as a consultant at Leeds General Infirmary, UK.

Dr. Mulay started the rural cardiac surgery program in Maharashtra in 2004 and was a key part of Open Heart Surgery programs conducted in the interiors of Maharashtra during 2004-05. In 2010, he started the comprehensive minimally invasive cardiac surgery program in Maharashtra and established western India’s first comprehensive heart failure clinic in 2015. He performed western India’s first successful heart transplant and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation. Dr. Mulay and his team have performed 160+ heart transplants, the highest in western India.

He is a member of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons, Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland and American Medical Association. Dr. Archana K Vazifdar is a Consultant in the Department of Haematology of Laboratory Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing her MD in Pathology from Seth G.S. Medical college and K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai, in 2004, she pursued advanced training in Haemato-oncology and flow cytometry at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

She is an enthusiastic teacher, who is actively involved in DNB teaching program.

Dr. Vazifdar, has been associated with Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital since its inception, being involved in the setup of the haematology department in the laboratory.

She has a keen interest in flow cytometry, coagulopathy, and haemoglobinopathy, thereby enabling advanced testing in these fields, while incorporating digital haematology in the department.

As a member of National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, (NABL) team of auditors, she has also facilitated laboratory accreditations like NABL, National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) & Junior Chamber International (JCI), ensuring high quality standards.

She has authored/co-authored several articles in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and has numerous scientific presentations to her credit. She has delivered over 80 invited lectures in various conferences across the country.

Dr. Arindam Kar is a highly accomplished and experienced intensivist currently serving as the Additional Director of Critical Care Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. With over 23 years of experience in Critical Care Medicine, he is recognized as a leading figure in the field.

Dr. Kar holds an MD, DNB, FNB, EDICM, FCCP, FICCM, and FCCM. He completed his critical care training at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and further advanced his expertise with a European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine from St. Georges University Trust Hospital, London, UK. Additionally, he pursued fellowships from prestigious institutions such as the American College of Chest Physicians, USA, Indian College of Critical Care Medicine, Mumbai, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, USA. He has also received training through observers and short-term courses across 15 countries worldwide.

In his career, Dr. Kar has held significant leadership positions, including being the Director of Critical Care Services at CK BIRLA Group of Hospitals and Medica Superspecialty Hospitals, Kolkata. He is currently serving as the Examination Controller and has been elected as the Secretary of the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine from 2024 onwards. Previously, he was the National General Secretary of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (2020-2022), and Asia Pacific Representative of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (2015-2018).

Dr. Kar has authored over 12 scientific papers, position statements, and guidelines, and delivered more than 200 talks at conferences, symposia, and workshops. He is an active contributor to the development of critical care programs, having trained intensivists, nurses, and registrars across India. As a teacher and examiner for various critical care courses, Dr. Kar has significantly influenced the training and growth of the profession. He has also been the Centre Director for the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine in India since 2015, overseeing the certification of over 1,000 intensivists.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Kar was awarded the Best Doctor of Bengal 2019 ("Chikitsa Sanman") by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister. He also played a pivotal role in creating the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine's COVID-19 care position statement and contributed to the COVID-19 Protocol Management Committee of the Government of West Bengal.

Dr Arjun Ahuja is a consultant with the ophthalmology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr Ahuja completed his MBBS degree in 1979 at TN Medical College & Nair Hospital, Mumbai with a distinction in Medicine. He went on to pursue a DOMS course followed by an MS (Ophthalmology) course and received a gold medal from TN Medical College & Nair Hospital in 1984. In 2012, he completed his MCh degree at the University of Seychelles, securing the first rank.

During a career spanning over three decades, Dr Ahuja has held various positions at renowned hospitals in Mumbai, including KEM and Sion. Presently, he serves as the Professor Emeritus in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. In his academic journey, he has trained 200 postgraduates and 5000 undergraduates and has served as an examiner for both UG and PG exams. He is also an inspector for the Medical Council of India and a subject matter expert in ophthalmology on the FDA panel.

Dr Ahuja was an office bearer of the Bombay Ophthalmologist Association from 2005 to 2010. He holds life memberships in several esteemed organisations—the All India Ophthalmic Society, the Maharashtra Ophthalmic Society, the All India Oculoplasty Society, the Ophthalmic Views & News, and the IMA. Notably, he received the ‘Lachman Kriplani Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his contribution to the field of ophthalmology.

Dr. Arjun Dhawale completed his M.B.B.S., followed by M.S. (Orthopaedics), D.N.B. (Orthopaedics), and M.R.C.S.Ed. Further, he pursued Fellowships from U.S.A. and Canada.

His experience spans an impressive period of 20 years at reputed institutions in India and North America (3 years) after completing Orthopaedic residency from Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences, Mumbai University.

Dr. Arjun Gokani is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Gokani completed his MBBS from K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, and his Masters in Ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Kolkata. He trained at the prestigious Shankar Nethralaya in Chennai.

Dr. Gokani has performed over 100 valve surgeries for glaucoma and 500 other glaucoma procedures including minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries. He has International publications in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, and American Journal of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Arun B. Shah is the Director and postgraduate teacher at the Department of Neurosciences at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. Dr. Shah also leads the Comprehensive Stroke Centre and offers holistic care to patients consulting at Multiple Sclerosis and Memory Clinics.

Dr. Shah graduated with M.B.B.S. from the prestigious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 1972. He was awarded several gold medals from the University of Bombay for securing the first rank (October 1972). Later on, he pursued M.D. in Internal Medicine and DM Neurology at the same institution.

After his training, he completed a fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke at the Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon, USA, where he also served as an Instructor in Neurology. He participated in various research projects involving acute stroke therapy and investigated the role of platelet activation in different subtypes of ischemic stroke. This work was presented at the International Conference on Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease in 1984.

Dr. Shah was the first neurologist in Mumbai to use reperfusion therapy for acute stroke in 2002. He presented his data on ‘Thrombolytic Therapy of Acute Stroke in India’ at the World Congress of Neurology meeting held in Sydney, Australia in 2006. He is actively involved in clinical research pertaining to stroke, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease and has delivered several lectures on these topics.

Dr. Shah has served as the Professor and Head of the Department of Neurology and currently holds the title of Emeritus Professor at the Department of Neurology at Topiwala National Medical College & Nair Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Arun Doshi is a Consultant in the Department of Nephrology at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Doshi completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from LTM Medical College & Hospital, Mumbai. He further honed his skills with a fellowship in Nephrology at the Health Sciences Center, State University of New York, Brooklyn, New York, USA.

Dr. Doshi brings with him 24 years of extensive experience in the field of Nephrology. Over the course of his career, he has presented numerous research papers at both national and international conferences and has published several peer-reviewed articles in various reputable journals.

Dr. Halankar is a Consultant in the Department of Nephrology at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He earned his MBBS and MD (General Medicine and Therapeutics) from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, where he also completed his Medical Residency Program. He honed his skills as a Registrar and then Senior Registrar at the Artificial Kidney and Nephrology Unit at the same institution. This was followed by a Senior Fellowship in Nephrology from the Jewish Hospital and Medical Centre of Brooklyn, Downstate University, Brooklyn, New York, USA.

With over 43 years of clinical experience, he has previously served as the Hon. Professor and Head of the Nephrology Department at Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Ch. Hospital, Mumbai and thereafter, Hon. Professor, Nephrology at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Parel, Mumbai.

Dr Halankar, a member of the National Kidney Foundation, has an impressive portfolio of publications and orations.

Dr. Arvind Kulkarni is a Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Department of Orthopaedics, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is a Visiting Professor at Weill-Cornell Medical University, New York.

Dr. Kulkarni is one of the pioneers of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in India. He has performed more than 7500 spine surgeries and created the ‘Spine Surgery Checklist’ to enhance safety. Dr. Kulkarni has performed the First Prodisc-L Artificial Lumbar Disc Replacement in India (mentioned in the Limca book of Records) and is the First Spine Surgeon in the World to perform Tubular Discectomy using a 12 mm-portal (citation in Indian Book of Records). He has been cited five times in the International Spine Magazine ‘Spinal News International’.  

Dr. Kulkarni is the recipient of numerous national and international awards, and has published more than 75 research articles, 20 textbook chapters, and 300 podium presentations. He is invited all over the world to deliver lectures. His lectures are a part of the curriculum for European Diploma in Spine Surgery Programme. He has edited a textbook on ‘Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery’.

Dr. Kulkarni is one of the Founding Members of the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeons Association of Bharath (M.I.S.S.A.B.).

Dr. Arvind Nigam is a Gold Medallist in Sports Physiotherapy. He is a very skilled physiotherapist with proficiencies in manual therapy, taping, dry needling, cupping therapy as well as fitness training. His core competencies include sports injury rehabilitation, especially badminton, football and running injuries, on-field injury management, and strength of athletes and conditioning.  He is a member of Maharashtra OT/PT Council and IAP. 

Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin gained his M.B.B.S. and M.S. (Surgery) followed by specialist training in Liver and Gastrointestinal Surgery at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi. He holds F.R.C.S. (Glasgow and Edinburgh), and trained at the University of Cambridge for 5 years and University of Birmingham for 1 year in Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver and Abdominal Organ Transplantation. He was among the first few surgeons in the U.K. to be awarded ‘Intercollegiate F.R.C.S. in Transplant Surgery’. He was a Surgical Fellow and underwent training in live donor liver transplant (L.D.L.T.) procedures.

Dr. Soin has an extensive experience of over 3200+ liver transplants—the highest in the country. He has also performed 15000+ other complex liver, gall bladder and bile duct surgeries. He is recognized in the liver transplant fraternity globally for pioneering liver transplantation in India. He is responsible for training most of the liver teams in the country.

Dr. Soin was a Surgical Tutor at Cambridge University, and Faculty at two centres of Royal Colleges in Surgery. Since 1998, after performing the Country’s First Ever Successful Transplant, he has established three major liver transplant and advanced liver surgery centres at Apollo Hospital (1998–2001), S.G.R.H. (2001-2010), and now since 2010 at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurgaon (Delhi N.C.R.).

He has published 161 research papers and 17 book chapters, and delivered 1000+ invited lectures and papers all over the world.

Dr. Asha Dalal is the Director of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing M.B.B.S. with Gold Medal in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (final year), she pursued D.G.O., followed by M.D. (First Rank). Dr. Dalal trained in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery under Dr. Harry Reich, USA. She completed a Postgraduate course in Advanced Colposcopy, Diagnostic & Operative Hysteroscopy, Urogynaecology, Operative Laparoscopy including Preceptorship & Animal Lab conducted by The Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia, USA and Advanced Endoscopic Surgery & Infertility at The New England Medical Centre Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston MA, USA. She trained in Ultrasonography at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.

Dr. Dalal is the former Professor and Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at T.N. Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, where she has been a faculty since 1982.

Dr. Ashutosh Kothari is an internationally renowned, comprehensively trained, certified and accomplished Onco-Surgeon, who has focussed purely on breast cancer, oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery and benign breast disease.  

Dr. Kothari completed his super-speciality training in surgical oncology at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. He then moved to London and joined the Hedley Atkins Breast Unit, Guys & St. Thomas Hospital, the World’s first dedicated stand-alone breast cancer unit. He trained thereunder the renowned Prof. Ian Fentiman and was subsequently appointed as a permanent member of staff.

Dr. Kothari is an advocate for early detection, he played a pivotal role in establishing the enhanced, rapid access, one-stop comprehensive breast care clinic, in the public healthcare sector, in the UK. This allowed women with breast symptoms to be diagnosed in under 2–3 hours. His work in this area was recognised globally, and BreastCare Magazine recognised his efforts as World Leader in the field. He was instrumental in setting up one of the first multi-disciplinary oncoplastic breast clinics in conjunction with the plastic surgeons, ensuring that patients received individualised, holistic, surgical advice. He also introduced LYMPHA surgery at Guy’s Hospital for the prevention of lymphoedema, significantly reducing its incidence. The data has been successfully published in a high-impact international medical journal in 2023.

Dr. Kothari has one of the largest experiences of immediate whole breast reconstructions in Europe and has excellent long-term aesthetic results and his complication rates are one of the lowest in Europe. He is an advisor and key opinion leader to several breast implant and medical device manufacturing companies. Through this partnership with industry, he has worked with International corporations to develop and continues to develop several state-of-the-art products to help simplify breast reconstruction with a focus on tissue engineering and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Ashutosh Shah is a Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Shah completed his MBBS in 1996 from University of Mumbai followed by a DPM and DNB (Psychiatry Medicine). His special interests include mood and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and dementia.

Dr. Shah has worked at several prominent hospitals across the city and holds lifetime memberships with the Indian Psychiatric Society, Bombay Psychiatric Society, General Practitioners Association, and the Indian Society for Clinical Research.

He has authored thirteen publications and has undertaken four clinical research projects.

Dr. Mehta graduated and received his MD (General Medicine) from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai. He also holds the following fellowships: FACC, FISE, and FICP.

Dr. Mehta was an Honorary Professor of Cardiology at Sion LTM Medical College, University of Mumbai for 25+ years. Currently, he is a teacher for DNB (Cardiology) residents.

Dr. Mehta pioneered the use of cardiac catheterisation and angiography in newborn babies and bundle electrography, in India, in 1973. He has been part of several multinational and multicentre studies, including the first systematic trial on primary angioplasty in acute myocardial infarction and clinical trials on stent evaluation and drug-eluting stents.

Dr. Mehta is the recipient of numerous accolades, including 19 gold medals (MBBS and MD exams) and the 2004 Padma Shri and Maharashtra Gaurav awards.

Dr. Ashwin Lawande is a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Radiology & Imaging at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Ashwin Lawande trained in radiology at LTMG hospital and further trained in ultrasound at Jaslok hospital, Mumbai. He has been practicing ultrasonography for 15 years and is one of the leading names in the field of musculoskeletal ultrasonography in India.

Dr. Ashwin Lawande has published and presented many scientific articles in Radiology, notably in Adnexal Masses and Paediatric Renal Masses.

He holds the memberships of the IRIA, IFUMB, Indian Cancer Research Society, Indian Paediatric Radiology Associations, and Bombay Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Ashwin Shetty has been a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, since its inception.

He completed his M.D. (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) in India and subsequently accomplished M.R.C.O.G., C.C.S.T. from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, London. He completed a specialist training rotation through a UK National training programme at the Yorkshire deanery, Leeds, UK and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (C.C.S.T.). He was awarded the prestigious F.R.C.O.G. (UK) in 2016.

His other Fellowships include Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in Advanced Labour practice (RCOG) and Special skills training in Urogynaecology during training rotation.

Dr. Shetty is a Certified Urodynamist from Bristol Urological Institute and is also certified in Managing Obstetric Emergencies and Trauma (MOET).

Besides publishing in several peer-reviewed International journals, Dr. Shetty has made several oral and poster presentations at International Speciality meetings. He has also been involved in several research projects.

Dr. Asif A. Momin is a Consultant at the Department of Radiology and Imaging, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Momin is a highly experienced radiologist with expertise in cancer imaging, with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of head & neck, breast, and liver cancers.

He has multiple international awards and honours to his credit. He is a well-known Radiology Educator and Teacher.

After the completion of his MBBS degree, Dr Ursekar pursued DOMS and MS (Ophthalmology) at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. Subsequently, he completed FCPS and DNB. He then pursued a vitreoretinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, Chennai and obtained a fellowship in retinal service at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, New York, USA.

Dr Ursekar has a rich 26-year experience in the field of ophthalmology. In addition to his association with our hospital, he is a consultant at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre and Masina Hospital in Mumbai. Previously, he held consultancy positions at Wockhardt Hospitals, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Asian Heart Institute, and Smt. Motiben B. Dalvi Hospital in Mumbai.

Dr Ursekar has actively taken part in various national and international research studies. He has published many peer-reviewed papers in esteemed national journals and delivered lectures on various topics in ophthalmology at national conferences. He is also registered as an eligible teacher for ophthalmology residents preparing for the Diplomate of National Board Examination at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai. Dr. Dadina completed her MBBS in 1982 from Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L Nair Hospital, University of Bombay followed by an MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She was trained in Advanced Ultrasound at King’s College Hospital in London, in Obstetrics-Harris Birthright Centre with Prof. Kypros Nicholaides in 1987, in Perinatology by Prof. Donald Gibb in 1987, and in Endocrinology and Assisted Reproductive Medicine with Prof. Jerome Check at Philadelphia in 1989. She also received a diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Kiel, Germany in 2000.

Dr. Dadina has worked at many prominent hospitals in the city and is an Honourable Gynaecologist & Obstetrician at Family Planning Association of India (FPAI). She has co-authored two research papers and has presented her work at several MGO-organised conferences. She has been an invited speaker and chairperson at many regional and national conferences.

Dr. Avani Shah is a consultant at the Department of Dermatology, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing M.B.B.S., Dr. Shah completed D.D.V. (C.P.S.) and M.D. (Dermatology) at the Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She then pursued a fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology at the Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, United Kingdom, where she underwent training in laser epilation, Botox injection, fillers, skin rejuvenation therapies, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. She also completed an observership under the mentorship of world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. John Celin.

She worked as a private practitioner and as a consultant at Bombay Hospital and Global Hospital in Mumbai and gained experience in treating cases of psoriasis, lichen planus, eczemas, skin infections, and leprosy. She routinely performs skin procedures like skin biopsies, radiofrequency, cauterisation, cryosurgery, intralesional injections, and tumour excision. Dr. Avinash Desousa is a Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing his MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College & LTMG Hospital, Mumbai (2002), Dr. Desousa pursued a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He later completed his DPM from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and his PhD (PsyD) from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.

Dr. Desousa has been honoured with several prestigious awards, including the Jewel of India Award by the Indian Solidarity Council for contributions to mental health and psychotherapy, and Great Minds of 21st Century by the American Biographical Institute for his contributions in psychotherapy and psychiatry.

Dr. Bachi T. Hathiram works as a Lead-Laryngotracheal Airway Disease & Neurotology at the ENT Department of Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Hathiram has a rich experience of 25 years at a tertiary care referral hospital and teaching institution. She is a University-recognised postgraduate (M.S.) guide and has worked as an administrator (Professor and Head of Department) for 8 years.

Dr. Hathiram has been invited as a guest faculty at various international and national conferences. Additionally, she has published more than 100 articles and book chapters in international and national indexed periodicals and textbooks. Dr. Hathiram has also authored three international reference textbooks and one surgical and video atlas of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery. She has organised and conducted various live surgical workshops, conferences, and CMEs.

Dr. Balkrishna Padate is a renowned haematologist with extensive experience in Clinical Haematology, Haemato-Oncology, and BMT. Over the past two decades, he has held key leadership roles in prominent hospitals in India and the United Kingdom, where he has combined his clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care.

He completed his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) at The Royal College of Pathologist in Haematology in London, UK, in 2011. He earned his FRCPath (Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists) in 2009. In 2024, he was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians at Glasgow. He also holds an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, London (2006), an MD in Internal Medicine from Mumbai University (2003), and an MBBS from GSMC and KEM Hospital, Mumbai (1998).

Dr. Padate has served as the Director and Head Consultant in Clinical Haematology, Haemato-Oncology, BMT and Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CarT) therapy at Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital from October 2021 to January 2025. Previously, he held similar leadership roles at P D Hinduja Hospital and MRC Mumbai from 2012 to 2021.

Dr. Banani Choudhury is a Consultant Dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Banani Choudhury did her MD in Dermatology from Guwahati Medical College. She completed her DNB in 2010 and was awarded an MNAMS from the National Academy of Medical Science in 2012. Dr. Choudhury is experienced in performing various dermatological procedures such as microdermabrasion, laser photofacial, non-abrasive radiofrequency for skin tightening, laser hair removal, cryotherapy, dermaroller, dermastamp, injection lipolysis, thread lift, and skin biopsy. She underwent advanced training in Skin Rejuvenation Therapy through Hydrobalance under Dr. Sandeep H Cliff in USA, Facial Aesthetics under Dr. Arthur Swift in USA, and Advanced Filler under Dr. Welf Prager in Germany.

Dr. Banani has authored 17 publications in the field of Dermatology, and she has contributed to the IADVL TEXT BOOK OF DERMATOLOGY and ACSI TEXT BOOK DERMATOLOGY. She has also written the chapters of ‘Cosmeceuticals in Skin and Hair Care’ and ‘Facial Assessment’ in EVIDENCE BASED DERMATOLOGY (Jaypee publications). She is a life member of IADVL, ACSI, and CDSI.

Dr. Bhagyam is a consultant at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, currently serving as the additional director of Radiology and Imaging. She previously served as the joint coordinator (Radiology) at Wockhardt Hospital (2016-2022) and was the director of Radiology at N. M. Medical Centre, Chowpatty. Dr. Bhagyam has completed an executive management course for medical professionals from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad). Her group was awarded the 2nd prize in the Healthcare Tech Challenge conducted by the Daily Rounds Team at the National University of Singapore campus.

An active speaker and panelist at Radiology and Gynaecology Conferences, she has numerous national and international scientific publications. She is also a DNB teacher and examiner. She emphasises right diagnosis, staying updated with the advancements in the field and empathetic patient communication. Her training includes workshops on breast imaging from Memorial Sloan Kettering, Colour Doppler in Houston, ultrasound-guided interventions from AIIMS and NUH, Singapore.

Dr. Bhagyashree Thakur is a dedicated Consultant, Paediatric Dentist with the Dental Services department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. She has over a decade of experience, including eight years of specialised clinical experience in the field of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry.

Dr. Thakur completed her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and her MDS in Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Dr. D. Y. Patil Deemed University, Pune, securing second position in the Post-Graduation Exam. She has received advanced training in Cosmetic and Painless Dentistry at the International Centre for Dental Care, Mumbai.

She has a special interest towards preventive paediatric dentistry and providing dental care for children with special healthcare needs. Her expertise and dedication have earned her invitations as a guest speaker at National and International conferences. Dr. Thakur has published numerous articles in both National and International Journals indexed in PubMed, and is the author of a textbook titled “AVULSION IN PRIMARY TEETH” published by Scholar Press (German Publishers)

Dr. Dalvi received his MD (Internal Medicine) and his DM (Cardiology). Dr. Dalvi has done Fellowships in Paediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital, Boston, and Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, and Cleveland Clinic, USA. Dr. Dalvi is a renowned world over for his pioneering innovation of balloon-assisted closure for very large ASDs and transcatheter interventions in neonates and infants. He has a distinguished career spanning nearly 4 decades and is one of the tallest leaders in the field in this part of the world.

Dr. Dalvi is the former President of Paediatric Cardiac Society of India (2008–09). He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Annals of Paediatric Cardiology (2008–10).

Dr. Gajare completed his MBBS from Navodaya Medical College, RGUHS, Bangalore. He did MD (Paediatrics) from M.G.M. Medical College, Aurangabad. Subsequently, he completed his Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. Further, he pursued his passion in the field of Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care and did Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care affiliated to Paediatric Cardiology Society of India (PCSI).

Dr Bharat Shah has been in practice for more than four decades now with enriched nephrology and kidney transplantation experience.

He is the founding member and managing trustee of Narmada Kidney Foundation, advisor to the Central India Kidney Foundation, Medical Advisor to the J.N. Tata Endowment and member in the advisory committee of the Oswal Welfare Charitable Trust.

A distinguished author, he has written several books on Kidney failure and Kidney transplant and has numerous journals and publications to his credit.

He completed his MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Sion Hospitals, University of Mumbai in 1991, earning the Merit Scholarship award (1991-93). He pursued his MD in General Medicine from the Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals in 1994, followed by a DNB (Nephrology) in 1996 from Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, with honours.

Dr. Bhavesh Vora has extensive experience in managing complex nephrology cases and is actively involved in the kidney transplantation program at our hospital. He previously served as a clinical fellow at the Renal Unit, Manchester Royal Infirmary, UK, where he participated in multi-organ retrieval for cadaver transplants.

Dr. Bhujang U. Pai is a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Radiology and Imaging, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Pai is a passionate teacher and firm believer in quality healthcare for patients. He is a leading force in developing tele-radiology and inculcating artificial intelligence (A.I.) in Radiology.

Dr. Bhupendra Gandhi is a highly respected Nephrologist in Mumbai. He graduated from Grant Medical College, JJ Group of Hospitals, University of Mumbai, in 1966. He underwent advanced training in Internal Medicine with American Board at the Mount Carmen Mercy Hospital and Medical Centre, University of Michigan, USA, from 1968 to 1971. As a Nephrology fellow at the same institution, he earned his subspecialty certification from the American Board of Nephrology in 1974.

Dr. Gandhi has extensive international experience, having served at several renounced institutes such as Harper Hospital Detroit, USA; Pontiac Hospital and Mount Carmen Mercy Hospital and Medical Centre Michigan, USA.

He is a pioneer in Indian nephrology, having performed the nation’s first ABO-Incompatible kidney transplantation, an achievement that has since paved the way for nearly 100 such successful transplantations in India.

Dr. Bhushan M. Sabnis completed his M.D. (Ortho) from A.F.M.C., Pune, securing the first place and was honoured with Brig K.D. Khare – A.F.M.C. Gold Medal for academic excellence. As a sponsored candidate by the British Council for further postgraduate education in Orthopaedics and a recipient of many International Fellowships, he trained to specialize in partial - Unicompartmental knee replacements - medial, lateral and patellofemoral, Bi-compartmental knee replacements and primary and revision knee replacements.

Dr. Sabnis is trained in Knee Ligament Reconstructions including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs, ACL and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstructions, Percutaneous PLC reconstruction, LCL/ medial collateral ligament (MCL) reconstruction and internal bracing techniques, meniscal implants and transplants and cartilage regeneration procedures and osteotomies around the knee. Dr. Bijal Dodia completed her BPT from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai, and her Master in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiotherapy from Seth G. S. Medical College and K. E. M. Hospital, Mumbai. A certified Child Birth Educator from the Academy of Child Birth Educators, USA. She is also trained in Neurodynamics solutions by Michael Shacklock and Kiran Challagundla.

After gaining clinical experience in critical care at Nanavati Hospital, Dr. Dodia worked at Saifee Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist and ICU in-charge for 4 years. During this period, she also served as a resource person for the Certificate Course in Critical Care Nursing affiliated with S. N. D. T. University, Mumbai.

Dr. Dodia has published papers on Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Critical Care Physiotherapy in International journals. Dr. Binal Mashru is a Consultant at the Department of Dental Services at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre and also maintains a private practice.

Dr. Mashru is an experienced Orthodontist with 15 years of expertise in providing comprehensive orthodontic treatment to patients aged 7 and older. He is proficient in developing comprehensive treatment plans that addresses both aesthetic concerns and functional issues. He has a vast knowledge of and experience with a range of orthodontic appliances, from conventional braces to clear aligners. He is a Certified Clear Aligner Provider.

Dr. Mashru has a compassionate approach towards patient care, recognizing the impact of orthodontic treatment on patients’ self-esteem and overall well-being.

Dr. Bindu is the Chief Intensivist in the Department of Liver and Liver Transplant ICU at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai.

With a background in Anaesthesiology, she progressed on to complete her training in Critical Care (EDIC, IDCCM, IFCCM). She has worked in various institutes in India acquiring skills and experience in liver ICU and transplant, major trauma, general intensive care, advance respiratory and cardiac support, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). She is proficient in difficult vascular access services and long lines. She was a member of the core team developing protocols and policies during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. She was an integral part of the ECMO retrieval program. She is trained in basic and advanced ECHO and Doppler imaging. She has also completed a 3-month clinical fellowship at the Liver Intensive Care Unit, Kings College, London.

Dr. Bindu is an IDCCM teacher and has authored multiple journal publications. Besides, she has written chapters in critical care textbooks and is the editor of two very popular critical care books for interpreting clinical investigations in the ICU as well as an ICU manual.

Dr. Binoy Nikhil Shah is a Consultant at the Department of Orthopaedics, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Shah is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in trauma (fractures), joint replacement and spine surgery with 15 years of experience. He follows a holistic approach, devising individualised treatment plans for all his patients, to provide them with the best solutions while utilising the most advanced and cutting-edge technology.

After completing his M.B.B.S. from K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai, Dr. Shah pursued M.S. (orthopaedics) from Dr. Vasantrai Pawar Medical College, Nashik. After completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Seth G. S. Medical College and K. E. M. Hospital (Distinction and JRD Tata Scholarship holder for all years), she pursued her Master in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy from University of South Australia (Australia) under the mentorship of world-famous physiotherapists Mark Jones and David Butler.

Subsequently, she returned to India and joined the Sports Medicine Centre of a suburban hospital (under the guidance of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala and Heath Matthews). At Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Sports Medicine as a part of founding Sports Rehabilitation team and has been an integral member of the team, since the inception of the hospital.

After Completing his M.B.B.S. and D.M.R.D., he successfully obtained an M.D. in Radiodiagnosis. Dr. Lulla also completed several specialised training programs including Colour Doppler USG from Guys Hospital UK; Fetal Interventions from Kings College UK; 3D Ultra Sonography 1999 Seoul, Korea; 3D VISUS Course from Vienna, Austria; and Fetal Medicine Foundation Course from Sydney, Australia. Besides our hospital, Dr. Lulla is also associated with Jaslok Hospital.

Dr. Chandresh Parekh is a Consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Parekh completed his medical education at K. E. M. Hospital & Seth G. S. Medical College, Parel, Mumbai. A highly experienced squint specialist, he has had the rare honour performing eye surgery on fellow ophthalmologists, and their children. He has also operated on himself, and earned himself the title of Squint Specialist. With over 40 years of experience in Squint surgery, he has trained numerous eye surgeons across India in examination & surgical management of squint.

He is frequently invited to lecture on squint at various medical colleges and Ophthalmology Associations of India.

Dr. Chetan Bhatt serves as the Mentor of the Institute of Gastrosciences and Hepato-biliary Sciences at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

A distinguished Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist practising in Mumbai for several years.  

He has earned numerous scholarships, including the prestigious Dr. A.J. Kohiyar prize from the Research Society (J.J. group of Hospitals and Grant Medical College) and the Glaxo Merit Scholarship for being the first student to specialize in Internal Medicine after graduation.

With his vast teaching experience, Dr. Bhatt has developed innovative methods for teaching under- and post-graduate medical students over three decades. He is also highly skilled in performing various diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

He has authored a patient information booklet on IBD titled “Understanding IBD for patients and their relatives”. He also launched an IBD website www.ibdmumbaiclub.com.

Dr. Bhatt has several publications and presentations in the field of gastroenterology to his credit and has authored chapters in API textbook of Medicine (7th & 8th Edition) called “Disease of Peritoneum”, “Liver in Systemic Disease”, and “Alcoholic Liver Disease”.

Dr. Bhatt is the Chairperson of IBS Task Force of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. He also serves as a core committee member of the IBD research group and the Task Force of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of India. He is an organizing committee member for the International Neuro-Gastro Intestinal Motility Disorder and Indian Society of Gastroenterology Conference 2013-14. Dr. Chintamani Kelkar is a distinguished Consultant for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with the Dental Services department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing his BDS and MDS, Dr. Kelkar pursued the prestigious FDSRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and accomplished the AO Fellowship. He was also awarded the esteemed T.C. White Scholarship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Dr. Kelkar has extensive experience spanning academia, international practice, and private clinical work. We served for 10 years in academics at the renowned Nair Hospital Dental College. He also worked in UK as a Registrar and Specialist Registrar for 5 years. Thereafter, he has been in private practice for 15 years.

Mr. Christopher works with athletes and patients across the spectrum, from weekend warriors to elite and Olympic-level competitors. His approach is shaped by broad global experience across multiple sports, including football, cricket, tennis, golf, badminton and rugby at the professional level. He believes in the effectiveness of simple, practical solutions.

In 2024, Mr. Christopher was appointed Head Physio and Head of Recovery for Team India at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and setting up the first-ever medical and recovery centre for Team India at an Olympic Games. He is a firm believer that the simplest solutions are often the most effective.

Mr. Christopher has a strong interest in teaching and is actively involved in both research as well as clinical practice. Dr. Daidipya A Patukale is a Consultant in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Patukale graduated from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and completed his Diploma in Anaesthesiology from Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital. He also completed his DNB from Yashoda Hospitals. As a medical professional specialising in anaesthesiology and critical care medicine, Dr. Patukale has always aimed to provide empathetic care to the patients, ensuring the best medical facilities along with teamwork with his seniors, colleagues, and staff.

Dr. Patukale now aims to extend this effort in patients with organ transplant.

Dr. Daisy Jokhi is the Chief Anaesthesiologist in the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

An alumnus of T.N.M.C. and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Jokhi graduated in 1982. She successfully completed her D.A. in 1983 and her M.D. (Anaesthesia) in 1986.

Dr. Jokhi has worked at several renowned hospitals in Mumbai and has varied experience spanning more than three decades. She is a member of Maharashtra Medical Council (since 1982) and Indian Society of Anaesthesia (since 1987).

Dr. Soonawala is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedics at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. He has rich experience of over 26 years within India and overseas.

He has won awards and accolades for his meritorious performance. He was awarded the A.K. Talwalkar Prize for standing first in M.S. Orthopaedics. He was also awarded the K.T. Dholakia Award on Minimally Invasive Cemented Total Hip Replacement by Ranawat Orthopaedic Foundation, New Delhi in Feb 2008.

Dr. Darshana D. Rathod is the Additional Director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, bringing 24 years of invaluable experience in ICU settings. She holds an MD in Internal Medicine and an MBBS, providing her with a strong academic foundation to excel in clinical, academic, and research roles. Dr. Rathod plays a pivotal role in the department, overseeing daily ICU rounds, assessing patient conditions, formulating care plans, and coordinating with healthcare teams and families. She also ensures the development and implementation of ICU policies, compliance with standards, and staff training on critical care, infection control, and patient safety.

A dedicated researcher, Dr. Rathod is leading two important prospective interventional studies: one focusing on neuro-injury markers post-cardiac arrest and another investigating Adrenomedullin as a marker for organ failure and mortality in sepsis. In addition to her clinical and research expertise, Dr. Rathod is an active faculty member for various Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, workshops, and medical training programs. She has also been instrumental in the hospital’s quality and accreditation efforts, including the successful reaccreditation by NABH and JCI in October 2023.

Dr. Rathod holds multiple prestigious certifications, including Certified Professional in Quality Initiatives in Healthcare and Patient Safety Officer by CAHO, as well as internationally recognized certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Her contributions to research are evident in her numerous publications and book chapters, focusing on critical care, pulmonary barotrauma, and COVID-19 management.

Dr. Shah graduated from the AMC MET Medical College Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Thereafter, he received his DNB (Internal Medicine) from Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi, and DM (Medical Oncology) from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the department of medical oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital for 2 years.

Dr. Shah has received extensive trained in the multi-disciplinary management of various solid tumours. He also holds a European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Certification in Medical Oncology (ECMO).

Dr. David Chandy is the director of the Endocrinology department, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing M.B.B.S. from Seth G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital and M.D. from Government Medical College, Nagpur, Dr. Chandy pursued D.M. (Endocrinology) from Sanjay Gandhi Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He was a research volunteer in Endocrinology in Jesse Brown VA Hospital, Chicago, USA. He has been working as a Consultant in Endocrinology in Mumbai for over a decade now.

Dr. Deepak Bhatia is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with additional subspecialty training in shoulder, elbow and wrist surgery. He completed his orthopaedic surgical training at the prestigious King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. He completed fellowships from leading International Institutes in Belgium, South Africa, and Australia. In his clinical practice, he focusses on sports injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. He also treats athletic injuries of the hip and groin.

Dr. Bhatia has developed several original surgical techniques for treating various shoulder and elbow problems. These techniques have been published in some of the best International journals, and are currently used by shoulder and elbow surgeons around the world. Dr. Bhatia work is internationally acclaimed, and he has been awarded the Gary G. Poehling Award (ISAKOS, Shanghai, China; 2017) for pioneering research in elbow endoscopy. He has also won the ISAKOS Young Investigator Research Grant Award (Adelaide, Australia; 2016) and ISAKOS Young Investigator Research Mentorship Award (Lyon, France; 2015).

Dr. Bhatia is actively involved in research and has more than 80 International publications in leading scientific journals. He is a committee member of the Elbow, Wrist, and Hand committee of ISAKOS. He has served as a Co-Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Shoulder Surgery (2006–2016), and is a Founding Member and past Secretary of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India. He has lectured and performed live surgeries at National and International shoulder conferences.

Dr. Deepak Koli is a Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He has vast experience in head-neck onco surgeries, neurosurgeries, cytoreductive surgeries and Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), robotic onco surgeries, labour analgesia, paediatric anaesthesia as well as cardiac anaesthesia.

Dr. Deepali Dahale is a Deputy Consultant in the Department of GI & Hepatobiliary Sciences with specialization in Critical Care in Liver Transplant at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Deepali completed her post-graduate training in 2010 after graduating from JJ Hospital and Grant Medical College in 2005. She has successfully completed IDCCM and is also a Fellow of College of Critical care (FCCM) since 2015.

Dr. Dahale has eight years of experience in critical care management and her interests include pain management, labour analgesia, and liver transplant ICU care. She is certified to administer basic life support and advanced cardiac life support and is a lifetime member of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and Indian Society of Critical Care and has authored two scientific articles.

Dr. Devki Potwar is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Potwar completed her M.D. in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai. She has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai and Topiwala National Medical College and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital, Mumbai for 5 years and has trained many residents and fellows.

Dr. Potwar has undergone specialised training in the following domains: Reproductive Medicine and Embryology (International School of Medicine, Kiel-Göttingen-Munich, Germany); minimally invasive gynaecological surgical techniques (under Prof. Arnaud Wattiez at IRCAD, EITS, Strasbourg, France); advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgical techniques (Sunrise Hospital, Kochi), and laparoscopic suturing techniques (C.E.M.A.S.T., Mumbai). Dr. Dharmesh S. Kapoor is one of the few British Society of Urogynaecology-accredited urogynaecologists in India. After completing his M.D., he continued his training and professional experience in the U.S.A. and U.K. for 20 years. He completed a CCT in general obstetrics and gynaecology and underwent a 3-year subspecialty training in urogynaecology (dual CCT) at Plymouth—with Dr. Robert Freeman (president IUGA)—and in urology with Professors Paul Abrams and Marcus Drake at the renowned Bristol Urological Institute.

Until recently, he was a consultant gynaecologist and urogynaecologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, U.K. Dr. Kapoor is an expert in treating recurrent urinary infections in women, vaginal and abdominopelvic pain, urinary urgency and incontinence, weak bladder, voiding dysfunction, and vagina and uterus prolapse; he has performed more than 1,000 pelvic floor and incontinence surgeries and more than 1,000 hysteroscopic procedures for heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular periods, and fibroids/polyps in the uterus.. He is the only qualified doctor in Mumbai for performing endo-anal ultrasonography for conditions like bowel urgency and incontinence.

He has published 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals and served as an invited reviewer for the International Urogynaecology Journal, European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and for RCOG’s STRATOG learning programme.

Dr. Dhiraj Bhattad is a Consultant at the Department of Internal Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing his MBBS at the prestigious B.J. Medical College, Pune, he completed his MD in Medicine from T N Medical College & B Y L Nair Hospital, Mumbai, where he achieved distinction in the final year of MBBS.

Initially, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Nair Hospital, providing patient care in both the Medicine and Haematology Departments while also teaching undergraduate/postgraduate students of Medicine. An alumni of Mumbai University, Dr. Dilip Tanna graduated from B.Y.L. Nair Hospital in 1961 and completed his post-graduation in 1965. During the last five decades, he has been a part of many prominent hospitals and has performed innumerable orthopaedic surgeries.

Dr. Tanna is a retired Professor, BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai University and has been actively involved in teaching postgraduate surgery students all over the country. He has authored three books on orthopaedic subjects. As an academician, he has been a part of several research projects and has written many articles as a subject expert.

Dr. Dilip Trivedi is a mentor in the Department of General Surgery at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He completed MS (General Surgery) after MBBS and trained as a Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, UK. His areas of expertise include general surgery, gastroenterology surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, thyroid surgery, laparoscopic surgery, gastroenterological endoscopy, ERCP and therapeutic endoscopy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and pancreatic surgery. He has been a part of many prestigious institutions, including a trauma unit in the UK.

With an academic career spanning nearly two decades, Dr. Trivedi has mentored both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He served as Professor and HOD of Surgery at T.N.M.C and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital from September 1980 to June 1988. Dr. Trivedi has authored 21 research publications, contributed to 26 conference papers, and participated in 23 research projects.

Dr. Dimpy Irani is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. 

Dr. Irani completed her MBBS from MGM Medical College, University of Bombay followed by an MD (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) from KEM Medical College. She also completed her DGO and DNB from KEM Medical College, University of Mumbai. She is a certified aesthetic gynaecologist (London) and robotic surgeon (IRCAD France). She is proficient in handling high-risk pregnancies and operative obstetrics using her sharp clinical acumen and latest technology, such as laparoscopy/robotics. 

Dr. Irani trains residents and fellows and is a member of several professional bodies such as IAGE, MOGS, FOGSI AMC, AAGL (USA), ISGE (USA), and ESAG (UK). She has conducted various seminars in corporate settings, including at IBR, Jet Airways, and Philips Health Care. She has been part of international camps and workshops conducted in Dar-e-Salam for the under-privileged in Tanzania and Kenya.

Dr. Dipit Sahu is a Consultant Shoulder Surgeon at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After his M.B.B.S. and M.S. (Orthopaedics), Dr. Sahu pursued Fellowships from France, U.S.A., and South Korea. He specialises in Shoulder Orthopaedics and is officially a Research Collaborator in Mayo Clinic, U.S.A. He is the only Asian who has been trained in Shoulder Surgery for more than one year in Alps Surgery Institute, France under Dr. Laurent Lafosse. He also trained under Dr. Giles Walch (France), who is a pioneer in Total Anatomic and Reverse Shoulder Replacement.

Dr. Sahu has published several articles in reputed journals as well as book chapters in International books on Arthroscopic Latarjet procedure. He has also published a new Arthroscopic Shoulder Sign in a leading International journal. Furthermore, he has made presentations in A.A.O.S. annual U.S. Orthopaedics Congress, presented a paper in French at Annual French Arthroscopy Society meet in Paris, France (2011), as well as poster presentations in the Annual Congress of O.R.S. Dr. Dipti Raju Dhanwate is a Consultant in Microbiology and Infection Control, Department of Laboratory Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre since 2021.

Dr. Dhanwate is a graduate of Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical College, Mumbai, and completed her MD in Microbiology from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai in 2008.

She brings extensive expertise in the application and execution of infection control practices and diagnostic laboratory. She is trained in Black Belt Six Sigma, Clinical Research and Hospital Administration. Dr. Kapadia joined Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital since its inception and has completed 10 glorious years. Dr. Kapadia has considerable experience and expertise in anaesthesia for onco-surgeries (especially head & neck cancer), complex major onco-surgeries, robot assisted surgeries, orthopaedic traums & joint replacement, bariatric or weight loss procedure, and gynaecological high-risk obstetric surgeries. She is well trained in Basic Life Support (B.L.S.) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S.) and has handled critical patients and situations with ease.

Dr. Kapadia serves as the Head of Quality Assurance and Control for Anaesthesia to ensure that the department as a team strives to deliver anaesthetic care at par with the  highest international standards. She is deeply committed to academics, staying updated with the latest advancements in the field. She also plays an active role in the D.N.B. teaching program, serving as a D.N.B. teacher and mentoring students under her guidance. Dr. Divakar Sharma is a Consultant in Histopathology and Molecular Pathology at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

During his MSc (London, 2014), he trained in molecular pathology, cancer biology, biomarkers, immunotherapy, biostatistics, and clinical trials. His dissertation project was undertaken in ‘Understanding the role of extracellular matrix proteins in the pathogenesis of brain tumours in mice’ that involved benchwork dissection of gene knock-out mice brains, cryosectioning, LacZ reporter gene expression, fluorescent microscopy, and histological procedures.

During his DM, he gained extensive experience in surgical oncopathology, immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, intra-operative consultations, and molecular pathology. Dr. Sharma actively involved in diagnostic, administrative, research and academic activities at the Molecular Pathology Laboratory in TMH.

He is strongly committed to cancer patient health care, pathology education and cancer research. Dr Divya Gopal topped her MBBS class and was bestowed with the Best Outgoing Student Award. Subsequently, she went on to pursue her DNB Medicine degree from Mumbai, further solidifying her career.

Dr. Nabi has over 20 years of experience providing specialized care for critically ill infants and children. He has worked in various clinical settings throughout his career, offering comprehensive treatment to neonatal and paediatric intensive care unit patients. Dr. Nabi’s expertise encompasses the management of complex, life-threatening conditions in young patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. In addition to his clinical work, he has a special interest in paediatric hepatology, focusing on supporting paediatric liver transplant cases. This unique specialization has enabled him to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, helping to manage children with liver diseases and guiding them through transplant evaluations, procedures, and post-transplant care. With his diverse experience in clinical care and education, Dr. Nabi remains dedicated to advancing the well-being of children while fostering the growth of emerging medical professionals in the field.

Dr. Parikh is a highly qualified and experienced specialist in the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART), with over 38 years of experience. Currently, she is the Director of the Well Women Centre, heading this department. She has extensive expertise and a special interest in various ART-related aspects, including in vitro fertilisation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, egg embryo, sperm, testicular sperm, and ovarian cortex freezing, donor egg-associated procedures, surrogacy, and the treatment of repeated miscarriages and/or implantation failure and male factor infertility. She is a pioneer for pre-implantation genetic screening in India, with a special interest in monogenic diseases like Huntington's chorea, Leigh's syndrome, thalassemia, haemophilia, and Duchenne's muscular dystrophy, and cancer-related mutations, such as BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.

Dr. Parikh has received several awards in her field, published more than 150 research papers in national and international journals, served as a member of various professional medical organisations, and been invited to speak at many conferences and workshops on ART. Known for her compassionate and patient-centred approach, she is highly respected in her field. Dr. Parikh’s expertise in advanced ART techniques, coupled with her warm and caring nature, has helped many couples fulfil their dreams of starting a family.

Dr. Beswal is a Consultant at the Endocrinology department, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

Dr. Beswal did his M.B.B.S. from the G.S. Medical College & K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. Subsequently, he moved to UK after being selected for the UK Specialist Training Program. He has gained diverse qualifications and certifications in diabetology, endocrinology, obesity management, sexual health, and women’s health. He also completed one-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Diabetology. Dr. Beswal has treated several patients with diabetes in UK and India using international standards of care.

Dr Beswal is the author of a book chapter on ‘DPP-4 Inhibitors’ in the ‘World Clinics of Diabetology’. Besides being involved in challenging research projects in Diabetes, he has also been a speaker at National conferences. He regularly conducts medical educational lectures to train other doctors. Dr. Gaurav Gupta is an established Internist & Intensivist from South Mumbai, with extensive experience in internal medicine, critical care, and diabetes. He played a key role in supervising daily operations at Cumballa Hill Hospital and Heart Institute, where he served as the Director of Medical Administration until 2013.

Dr. Gupta completed his MBBS at Dr. S N Medical College, Jodhpur, and obtained a DNB in Internal Medicine from Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. He also holds an M Phil (HHSM) in Hospital & Health Systems Management from BITS, Pilani.

Before his current role, Dr. Gupta worked at B. D. Petit Parsee General Hospital (Cumballa Hill) and Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital (Thane), where he efficiently managed various medical and cardiac emergencies and smoothly executed critical care procedures. Dr. Gupta has significant experience in endotracheal intubation and insertion of central venous lines, temporary pacemakers, arterial lines, and intercostal drains. He is well-versed in intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and ventilator management. He is proficient in the management of critically ill medical cases, post-angioplasty cases, post-operative cardiac cases, and routine surgical cases requiring post-operative intensive care unit (ICU) care. Furthermore, Dr. Gupta has experience in handling sensitive issues involving death reviews and patient counselling.

His thesis title was “Determination of common carotid artery intima thickness by B. mode ultrasound in diabetes mellitus type 2 patients and its correlation with cardiovascular risk factors.”

Dr. Gaurav Gupta completed his medical and general surgery training from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College (M.A.M.C.), New Delhi. He completed a Liver Transplant Fellowship at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. To further learn the nuances of liver transplant, he joined the A.S.T.S. Liver Transplant Fellowship at the world-famous Thomas Starzl Transplant Institute U.P.M.C., Pittsburgh. After returning to India, he helped in establishing liver transplant programmes at many centres in Mumbai, replicating protocols from the West and was able to achieve more than 90% survival in liver transplant recipients.

Dr. Gupta was the Director or Head of the Liver Transplant department at various prestigious hospitals, such as Fortis and Wockhardt.

Dr. Gupta has keen interest in robotic liver surgery and has performed many robotic liver donor surgeries. He has special interest in paediatric liver transplant and has transplanted in many infants and babies weighing 4–5 kg.

He has published numerous papers and contributed to book chapters. His academic contribution can be seen in the form of numerous lectures, panels, and presentations at various professional forums. Dr. Gupta is currently an active member of various societies. Dr. Datar completed her post-graduation in cardiothoracic surgery (MCh in CVTS) from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in 2014. Later, pursued Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery from Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia. Prior to her overseas Fellowship, Dr. Datar had worked at other reputed paediatric cardiac institutes in the country.

Having exclusively catered to paediatric patients with congenital heart diseases, Dr. Datar’s focus lays on surgical correction of simple and complex congenital heart diseases.

Dr. Merchant specialises in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implantology. After completing his MBBS, DNB in General Medicine, and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB) in Nephrology, Dr. Gupta practiced in Kolkata for four years. He has gained significant experience in managing kidney diseases both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. After completing his M.D. from KEM Hospital, he has worked as a Consultant at the Asian Heart Institute & Research Centre for 7 years. Subsequently, he was involved in establishing the Cardiac Anaesthesia Department and I.C.U. at Wockhardt (Umrao) and Kohinoor Hospitals.

His areas of expertise comprise complex cardiac surgeries, including heart and lung transplant, minimally invasive CABG, and valve replacements. He is the pioneer of the TAVR programme at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre and has performed several surgeries with successful outcomes.

Dr. Hemant Mehta holds the world record for anaesthetising a 300 kg patient at Breach Candy Hospital. The patient had been declared unfit for surgery at various hospitals in Dubai, Bangkok, and London. Dr. Mehta managed this patient under epidural anaesthesia by joining two operation tables.

After completing an M.B.B.S., D.M.R.D., and M.D., Dr Choudhury successfully pursued his D.N.B. and M.N.A.M.S. He was trained in cardio-thoracic imaging at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. Furthermore, he received training in oncology imaging and imaging guided interventions at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Dr Choudhury has a special interest in cardiothoracic and musculoskeletal imaging and imaging guided interventions. Currently, he is pursuing a Fellowship at The Royal College of Radiologists, London.

Earlier, Dr. Choudhury has worked as a consultant at Dr. L. H. Hiranandani Hospital and Research Centre, Powai, Mumbai and at Infinity Medical Centre, Parel, Mumbai. Dr. Indur Ramchandani is a Consultant at the Department of Dermatology, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

After completing his M.B.B.S. with distinction, Dr Ramchandani pursued D.V.D and D.D.V. Subsequently, he completed his M.D. and secured first rank in his class.

Dr. Ramchandani has over 30 years of experience treating an array of skin procedures, such as electro/radiocautery, chemical peeling, biopsy, and laser treatment for scars and pigmentation. Dr. Jeril is a Life member of the Indian Medical Association, Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesiologists, Indian College of Anaesthesiologists and the Paediatric Cardiac Society of India.

He has presented several papers and lectures at multiple forums and has actively participated in several research works and has multiple publications in reputed national and international journals.

Dr. Jitendra Choudhary is a Senior Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, where he has been actively managing both the Medical ICU and Transplant ICU (Liver) since January 2024. Prior to this, he served as Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Fortis Hospital, Vashi, from August 2022, overseeing day-to-day ICU operations and playing a key role in administrative duties, including participation in the AMS group and CPCR committee.

Dr. Choudhary earned his MD in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care from BJ Medical College and Hospital, Ahmedabad, where he was exposed to a variety of specialties, including Urology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and General Surgery, in addition to anaesthesia for live renal and cadaveric liver and renal transplantations. He also worked as a Medical Officer at Kharbav PHC, Bhiwandi, managing emergency cases and participating in national health programs.

Dr. Choudhary’s career in critical care began in March 2015 at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, as a Consultant in Critical Care. In this role, he provided acute care to ICU patients, coordinated with specialists and families, supervised junior staff, and contributed to the care of transplant patients, including those undergoing renal, liver, and heart transplants. Earlier in his career, he completed an FNB Fellowship in Critical Care at Prince Aly Khan Hospital in 2013, where he gained hands-on experience in resuscitative care and the management of acutely ill patients. He also worked as a Senior Registrar in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, where he focused on critically ill cancer patients in both perioperative and critical care settings.

As a dedicated educator, Dr. Choudhary has contributed significantly to medical education, serving as an IDCCM teacher since 2019 and as an associate teacher for DNB Critical Care. His teaching roles extend beyond the classroom, as he also updates ICU policies, supervises junior and paramedical staff, participates in medical research, and ensures optimal ICU resource utilization. With his strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and research, Dr. Choudhary continues to be an integral figure in the field of critical care medicine.
