Dr. Pereira has 37 years of experience in the field of medical electronics and biomedical engineering. Before joining the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, he was working with two leading hospitals in Mumbai: the P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Lilavati Hospital, for a total period of 35 years; he was primarily involved in the evaluation and management of installed medical equipment.
Dr. Pereira has worked extensively in operating rooms and intensive care units, providing direct technical support. Technically sound and well-abreast of most medical equipment technologies in the healthcare industry, at our hospital, Dr. Pereira is currently responsible for the upkeep of medical equipment, planning of medical technologies, and upgradation to state-of-the-art medical facilities for improved patient care. His keen interests include radiology, radiotherapy, cardiology, intensive care, and operation theatre-related procedures.
Dr. Pereira has been instrumental in designing and implementing biomedical assets and software for equipment breakdown management.
