About Us:

Dr. Gaurav Gupta completed his medical and general surgery training from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College (M.A.M.C.), New Delhi. He completed a Liver Transplant Fellowship at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. To further learn the nuances of liver transplant, he joined the A.S.T.S. Liver Transplant Fellowship at the world-famous Thomas Starzl Transplant Institute U.P.M.C., Pittsburgh. He also completed a Liver Transplant Fellowship from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. After returning to India, he helped in establishing liver transplant programmes at many centres in Mumbai, replicating protocols from the West and was able to achieve more than 90% survival in liver transplant recipients.

Dr. Gupta was the Director or Head of the Liver Transplant department at various prestigious hospitals, such as Fortis and Wockhardt.

Dr. Gupta has keen interest in robotic liver surgery and has performed many robotic liver donor surgeries. He has special interest in paediatric liver transplant and has transplanted in many infants and babies weighing 4–5 kg.

He has published numerous papers and contributed to book chapters. His academic contribution can be seen in the form of numerous lectures, panels, and presentations at various professional forums. Dr. Gupta is currently an active member of various societies. He is involved in spreading awareness about organ donation and has given multiple talks and presentations on organ donation to the general public, students, and various corporate professionals.
