Dr Nikita Mashru is a consultant in the ophthalmology department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.
After completing her MBBS degree, Dr Mashru completed a master’s degree in ophthalmology and a DNB (Ophthalmology) degree. Subsequently, she pursued a fellowship in refractive surgery techniques at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore, a renowned institution in the field of ophthalmology. She also completed short-term fellowships in medical retina and glaucoma at Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore and uvea (ocular immunology) under the guidance of Dr J B at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She has also completed an observership at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, which is a globally renowned hospital.
Dr Mashru has presented her research papers at international symposiums in Bali and Copenhagen. She has also presented numerous papers at the All India Conference, the Maharashtra Ophthalmic Conference, and the Bombay Ophthalmic Society Conference. Additionally, she has published her research work in indexed journals as well.
She has extensive experience in LASIK eye surgeries, dry eye management, glaucoma treatment, chalazion removal, and Botox injections. She also has vast experience in premium cataract surgeries, refractive cataract surgery with premium lenses (microincision cataract surgery [MICS] as well as aspheric, toric, multifocal, multifocal toric, trifocal, and trifocal toric intraocular lens [IOL] implantation) and the complete range of refractive surgeries (basic LASIK, custom LASIK, wavefront-guided LASIK, topoguided LASIK, blade LASIK, and bladeless Femto-LASIK).
